I got cheated two times by this particular Young Ho Cafe. First time I bought 4 boxes of salted tofu pudding, I only got half full in each container. It was in the afternoon so I think they didn't have enough for 4 containers, but they are dishonest, instead of telling me not enough for 4, they gave me half in each container. Today because the other cafe closed at one pm, so I bought the tofu pudding and chinese bread (油條)from this Young Ho Cafe again. The Chinese bread (油條) is not fresh, it is very dry and greesy, look like it has been fried again and again. Totally doesn't have bread texture left, but just very hard . If you are not their regular customer, beware they cheat you!

Order a salted soy bean milk and salt rice roll. The rice roll is ok, nothing special. Ok portion.

The salted soy bean was HORRIBLE. There is absolutely no flavor. It's just soy milk with something that is also flavorness. You can taste the soy milk but nothing else. I had never thought that someone could screw up or make a salted soy milk tasteless, and especially they are supposed to be a taiwanese breakfast place. Never coming back.

This place has all the best of Chinese breakfast my only complaint is the blandness of flavor in the dojong and egg pancakes/onion cake. The consistency of and ingredients are all there but i Had to add sauces to bring out flavor. Enjoyed my donut and dipping...yummmmmmm
Great parking, huge lot in back

This a great place for some Taiwanese/Chinese breakfast. They serve buns, congee, Chinese donuts, Chinese pancakes, stinky tofu, noodle soup and more for breakfast. Everything is made in house and fresh in the morning.

Cash only and you probably would need to speak some Mandarin.

Love this place! Their service is quick and the food is delicious! The food taste so fresh and not greasy. The server told us the chefs wake up at 4am and start cooking so everything you eat is made fresh daily. We got their sweet tofu soup (made with ginger and peanuts, not sweet), the salty tofu soup (wasn't salty), the Chinese donut, egg onion pancake, the leak turnover(looks like an empanada has egg leak and green onion inside), and the beef roll. We also got their house made pastry to go. Servers are friendly and accommodating. Although this is a Mandarin speaking restaurant/community, they do speak English. So don't be shy and stop by.

Before we visited LA, our friends recommended us to try one of the most authentic restaurant for Taiwanese breakfast in their minds: Yung Ho Cafe.

The decor was wide-spaced, bright and simple without any decoration. There was a great variety of options which were really attractive for us on the menu. We had a difficult time making our decision and ended up ordering fried dough, rice ball and sweet & hot soy milk.

However, we were kind of disappointed since their food wasn’t as tasty as our expectation. The fried dough was too greasy and you can tell it was done for a while. The rice ball wasn’t bad but not special at all.

Overall, we believe there would be a better choice of authentic Taiwanese food in LA and there’s no need to give it a try.

Not bad. Service was quick and a bonus if you can speak mandarin. I really liked their onion pancake and spicy wontons. Everything only came out to $24.

The best of the valley! Salty soy milk with the curllers (rice rolls) was delicious! The donuts were huge and not sugary at all. The scallion pancakes were excellent. The spice beef noodle soup really hit the spot for me. It had a nice kick and the beef pieces were not fatty and had some nice chewy tendons attached. This soup will wake you up and get you going! Kids loved the chicken porrage, fighting for more. So I had to order an extra bowl of the porrage, which you can dip the donuts. The Beijing yogurt was refreshing with the spicy meal. The dumplings were pretty good, too. The hugh bun that had everything in it was very satisfying. I can't wait to go back for more...

Update: Yes, I returned. #9 was great! #9 was rice roll wrapped in a saran wrap. Sesame noodles had a nice kick and flavor. Leek cake was very leeky. Great place for breakfast anytime!

Food was good, I got a bowl of soymilk, it was deliciously warm. The crispy pork chops was delicious, not overly salty, just right. The leek pancakes was really good too. Overall, a good experience, will definitely come back.

Top-notch quality Chinese breakfast for excellent prices! The service is quick, and the food is authentic and delicious. I highly recommend the salted soy bean milk, twister cruller, and the baked turnip cake.
