Would miss it driving by but the food and service was amazing! Plenty of food and the chef, Miguel, was wonderful! He made sure that we had the best experience possible, and was very funny as well.We are visiting the city from Texas and it’s some of the best Mexican food I’ve had! Would recommend to anyone looking for good local Mexican food! I got the nachos with steak and I thought they were amazing!

Absolutely the best Mexican experience you will have in Chicago, probably even the Midwest. Family owned and ran. The food is as authentic as it gets. The service was phenomenal. I live four hours away and I’m already planning another trip to Chicago solely to visit these lovely people again. They made me feel like family and you can taste the owners love in her food. I never ever write reviews but I needed to for here; this place is just too good. I got the Mole Enchiladas and let me tell you finding good Mole is near impossible for me!!! Go there. Don’t look up any other places. Just open google maps, and go.

Had one of the best Mexican meal here. Welcoming and hospitable.
Event better, these are good people. I dropped my sapphire necklace there. Without realizing it, I was looking for my expensive jewelry elsewhere. Two and a half weeks has passed and I was going to just give a try. Miraculously they have found my necklace! They refused to receive any reward. I am so thankful for this wonderful place. This family run authentic Mexican restaurant undoubtedly serves the best food as they care. We will be back again and again. Thank you!

We make it a point to stop here every time we visit from Boston. The owner & daughter are an amazing duo - serving the best Mexican food in all of the city. Highly recommend!

Great Authentic Mexican food ran by a close knit family. All the food from the tacos to the refried beans are well made and Ingredients always are fresh. If you are in the neighborhood make a point to stop in. You won’t regret it.

Very good place very family oriented. Just try the enchildas de mole you won’t regret it :) and to top off order the guacamole .

I came here because of the reviews and then I tried it and realized Im not sure what the hype is all about. Unless I went late it was 7 but my experience was pretty bland as the food was super bland. The tortilla chips were stale and the salsa was ok. The chilaquiles and burrito nothing to talk about. The service was really good..however, since Im not gonna be back just for the service in others words: I shall skip...

We were visiting El Tezcal and this was nice experience.
Place: The place is so colorful, we enjoy the decoration.
Food: was so tasty and delicious,a little hot our plate but so delicious.
Customer service: our server was so kind.
The best things of this place was the prices, so if you wanna eat good at reasonable price this is the place for you.

This place has exceptional authentic Mexican food, and even more impressive customer service. This is all you need to know to make a decision on whether to check this place out.
Our group got steak & shrimp fajitas, Enchiladas de Mole, and a few different tacos. The fajitas was very well seasoned, tacos were authentic, and the Mole was honestly one of the best Mole you can find in Chicago.
Migel, the owner's son, was very delightful. He was personal with all of us, he told us his family stories and made us feel very welcome. He even gave us free Jamaica drink and Napales.
Overall: this restaurant is a must-try for exceptional food and customer service.
