I was craving nachos and an amazing margarita. This place did not disappoint. In fact, I’m quite obsessed and will keep this place top of mind whenever I am craving a meal I know will place me in an even better mood. The loaded nachos could feed three people or a hungry couple. My partner inhaled food and was even full. It’s a great deal to do the small pitcher of margaritas. The raspberry is my favorite, though the peach and pomegranate are winners as well. Without realizing how large the nachos were we got the quesadilla supreme. WOWOW the chicken is just next level. I’ve been searching for a place that had melt in your mouth chicken and I’ve finally found it. The only thing is they are a little higher in price for food but it’s so phenomenal and insanely good that you won’t really mind.

Food tasted very artificial, queso was similar to what you would get at the local water park or a baseball game but worse. Killed my stomach and now having bathroom issues. Definitely are better options in the city.

So the jumbo marg was good but I had the tacos al pastor and it was not good. Worst taco I have ever eaten. They smelt old and had the weirdest taste. I don’t recommend. Almost $35 and all had to go in the trash.

Great local, authentic Mexican food for good prices (and portions) in the Lakeview area. I've been here multiple times for takeout, although I've never dined in. I highly recommend the nachos!

Very fine staff and decorative pieces. Food was excellent. Chicken pablono in cream sauce was something different and I was very pleased. Tuesday and Thursday house margaritas we delicious and strong.
Will come back again next trip to Chicago. Locals don't. Iss this gem.

Great place, would go again I wish this place had more people noticing it. Tacos were amazing. Where's they only had a taco option. Either way you can't go wrong!

Mayan Palace has been a neighborhood staple for decades. The service here is friendly and warm. They have a back patio with the perfect ambient lighting and margarita options to float you to the next time you make it there. Delivery is packaged well (styrofoam could be kraft paper but this is maybe a future goal, or something like that) and hot fresh and delicious every time. We have never had any order issues and miss the dessert options during the pandemic but not without the recognition and appreciation for the real staple - delicious Chicago Mexican food ????

Just completed a meal and thoroughly enjoyed the time at this resaurant. Although there is a routine atmosphere, the noise level was reasonable. We were served with soup which was seasoned well and tasty. And the entire’ was chicken with poblano. Then a dessert of ice cream finished the meal perfectly. It’s a great place and we’ll be back.

Got carry out from Mayan Palace - the food was prepared quickly. It was fresh and delicious. We had the chimichanga plate and the combination plate number 3. Totally recommend!
