Came for a birthday dinner with friends and was not disappointed. The Smokie and Alice was a good drink to start with, then had East Coast oysters along with the Cajun Viet Oysters and both were tasty. Had the long bone ribeye after and it was among the best steaks I've had. Ended the dinner with the Italian Creme cake which was also great. Service and ambiance were also top notch. Will definitely come back.

Went to Georgia James for a friend's birthday celebration and I was beyond pleased with everything that occurred during our night. The space was not very big but everyone was able to be accommodated. The service was paced well which allowed everyone to enjoy good conversation as the various courses were brought out. The drinks were mixed well and the Old Fashion was on point. Everything we ordered was delicious especially the Long Bone Ribeye and Steakhouse Helper. The banana pie was a delightful dessert. I look forward to another visit.

Everything we ate was delicious. This is my favorite restaurant hands down. We ordered the Cajun oysters, wagyu zabuton, steakhouse helper and a bone marrow appetizer which was a special and off the menu.
Server was awesome per usual. This restaurant is pretty consistent when it comes to its food and service.
-1 star bc they’ve temporarily moved locations. Temporary location sucks. It’s cramped and loud; this takes away from the entire experience.

Sometimes you just have to listen to the waiter. My man Bryan knew exactly what to suggest. I ordered the Wagyu steak and mushroom side. The sourdough bread starter was awesome and crispy. The dessert was a creme brulee banana topped cream pie. Absolutely delicious.
Thank you Bryan buddy! You made my night.

This was a neat restaurant to go to it is occupying an old church right now, but they will be moving to a new spot. The wagyu steak my husband and I ordered came out and we asked for medium, but was bright red and bleeding all over the plate. The steak was very chewy and inedible not what ud expect for the cut and the price, but when I told the waiter he promptly got me a different cut and had it cooked to medium after telling me they have allot of people say that the wagyu is chewy. Other then that the food was good and they made our drinks to perfection. The salad was a nice size and their peppered buttermilk dressing was amazing! The bread was also good and they surprised us by telling us the candle they set on the table was the dipping oil made from waygu bone marrow " it was delicious ". The desert apple pie was just ok. At the end of the meal they gave us our check in an envelope sealed with wax and their seal which added to the experience being unique. I am not sure if my husband and I will go back, but it was a good experience all the same.

4 stars for the ambiance and service, but the food was just heavily drenched in lots and lots of butter! If that’s your jam- this is the place for you. I don’t know if it was just that particular day, or if the food is generally like that- but they don’t have a filet mignon on the menu (hanger steak they said was the closest) and it tasted nothing like a filet! So much fat.

Georgia James is AMAZING!!!! Tell them to keep their menus and bring out the chef’s choice variety board - it’s an amazing selection of different items that change by the board. Literally, to die for. It’s not chap, but you certainly won’t be disappointed! This must be your next delicious dining experience!
The picture below is only half of the board. Filet, ribeye, chicken, fish, veggies, pasta, dirty rice… WOW!!!

I went to Georgia James for a birthday dinner for my family member. The way there was a bit tricky due to dimly lit roads and complicated one way streets. Parking is done via valet and if you have a low car (2" ground clearance), ride share or carpool.
Walking in you'll be greeted by a display of their aged meats followed by rows upon rows of wine. Past the wine you'll meet a restourant host that will greet you and ask if you have a reservation. My party was already there so we were led to our table.
At the table we were handed warm towels, drink, and dinner menus. They filled our water glasses and set out sour dough bread. After which they asked if we wanted anything to drink. 5(?)mins later out drinks were brought out and we were asked about which appetizers we wanted. No one really wanted an appetizer so we skipped to the entree. Our server mentioned food items now on the menu and we ordered those.
I ordered and 8 ounce wagyu and a backup burger if that wasn't enough. We talked for about 25 odd minutes and food arrived. Their staff must have been working double time for everything to come out that fast. There was a full house that night.
My wagyu gave me mixed feelings. I had a texture and flavor in mind before biting into it. At home I cook steak weekly because it's "easy" to make. I might have gotten used to the way I seasoned, but the wagyu was "too" seasoned. The flavor from the fat marbling should have carried the beef, but in my case the seasoning was most of the flavor. The texture was on point and it was very soft and easy to chew.
My burger was really good. Not much else to say I was too focused on the wagyu I forgot to pay attention to the flavors of the sauce and meat on my burger.
Dinner was pleasant, our waiter would come from time to time to empty plates and refill drinks and ask if we needed anything. He also took our group picture. My sister's fiance asked for a birthday dessert in secret and later our mother ask for the same thing, but less subtle. Our waiter smiled at the situation and the desert came even before he left our table.
The desert was a roasted banana pie. We sang happy birthday and she blew her candle. She had a taste and liked it, but she was full so as a responsible older brother I could not let dessert go to waste, so I inhaled it. The thin banana slices on top were caramelized to a crisp. As for the crust it had a hint of peanut butter and the cream tasted of mocha.
After everything, our bill was handed in an envelope with a wax seal. We chuckled at the "unique gift."

Selective steak house . Nice and cozy place and not a very high end steak house. Prices are way up and not consistent with the decor and food quality and quantity. I ordered 16oz fillet and I got 3/4 inch thick fillet and not even close to med well it’s was beyond well well done almost charred. Ambiance lighting was real bad . They use LED with high k number so the pictures can’t come good . Very few choices and no mix or match the the steaks . Everything is outrageously expensive. I would rather go to Capital Grill or Steak 48 if I have to spend this kind of money. For 2 people my bill was around $300.00 . Place is clean and bathroom are also clean service was good but taste of food is not what I was looking other than their hot bread with natural beef fat. Burger was lousy and starters were no so good for a choice .

Absolutely wonderful. We were surprised at just how good this place was. We were expecting good, but didn't realize it would be this good! Although it is a steakhouse, the wilted kale, gulf fish, and even the bread brought to us in the beginning of our meal all had amazing finesse. You can tell there is major attention to detail and care that goes into the food. I can't wait to go again!
