Ronnie! You’re ‘Killen’ us! As long time fans and frequent diners at all Killen’s restaurants, dating back to the original location in Pearland complete with the train coming by and the the door flapping open when it would roll over the tracks. Tonight we were completely off put dining at STQ! Honestly I’m sad and disappointed. We felt rushed through our entire meal. We ordered apps, mains and desert. The bill came without anyone asking if we would like anything else. Our food was amazing and as we were wrapping up our conversation we were approached by a gentleman asking us if we could go ahead and leave because it was a Saturday night and the next table was ready to be seated. I have never been asked to go ahead and leave for the next party at any restaurant I have ever patronized. My daughter and I discussed how we travel across the country comparing our dining experiences against Killen’s. We both agreed that the food is unmatched! We also both agreed that we felt shooed away for the first time ever! After spending just shy of $600, I’m left wondering how much it would have cost me for the 10-15 minutes we needed to finish on a good note? I’m giving you 2 stars because the food is just so good and I don’t mind paying for a great meal. You lost 3 stars for the offensive way we were pushed out. My husband and I have plans with our best friends to dine at the steakhouse in two weeks and are rethinking if we want to spend what we did last time ($1000) and avoid the Port Flight that got spilled down my back or stay home and order pizza! We dine for great food AND a great experience. You fell flat tonight. I’m not done, but please don’t disappoint me the next time!

We ordered Habanero & Cherry BBQ Pork Belly, Bone Marrow & Herbs, Perfectly Grilled Filets, and Mac & Cheese.
Our waiter said that the pork belly was a “religious experience” and it did not disappoint. We even got to take some extra BBQ sauce home, which I used on everything! 4 stars only because the mac and cheese was a bit dry and the restaurant was freezing, but I may have just been sitting near a vent. Everything was great and I would absolutely recommend!

We are here a few weeks ago and had a decent experience but not up to par with other Killen’s restaurant experiences. Our waiter was precious and could not have been nicer! The food was… meh, okay. Killen’s Steakhouse and Killen’s in the Heights blow this place away when it comes to food.
Here’s my biggest complaint: we made reservations online for 8:30 and we were called by the restaurant earlier in the evening and told/asked if we would move to 8 since they could fit us in and the kitchen closed at 9. I said yes however we might be late because we are coming from an event. We ended up being about 8:15 and we were called and reminded 3 times upon arrival that they closed at 9. It felt like we were being rushed as soon as we arrived, an experience I’ve never had at another establishment. We ordered quickly to try and appease them. My suggestion would be for them to remove the 8:30 reservation time online if it is an inconvenience to them, because that’s exactly what we felt like.
Overall, okay experience. Likely won’t seek out this Killen’s location again for the price/food being just okay.

Food is absolutely superb. Slightly pricey but great portion sizes. My favorite was the biscuits and Mac and cheese. The crispy meltiness of both were amazing

The appetizers were great. Our group tried the pork belly, brisket tamale, and burrata salad. We also shared the au gratin potatoes, mac and cheese, and brussel sprouts... All so good. My filet was accidentally cooked medium instead medium, which was not horrible, but it and the ribeye had a good flavor. I liked the bread pudding. We also tried key lime cheesecake and carrot cake.

We went with great friends for a Birthday Dinner and we have zero complaints!!! None. The staff were all fantastic as well as every dish that we tried. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we were able to get above a quiet roar as the drinks kicked in…. : ) nothing was rushed…

Excellent meal. Several excellent appetizers (our group tried 6) and a short rib to die for.

The steak was good, but the sides were below mediocre- both as creativity and execution (mushrooms were so salty there were hardly edible). Appetizers have been hit or miss. Wine was warm, because -we were told- any wine at less than $150/bottle doesn't fit in the fridge!! Service was good though. We had a great time because of the company and the emotions we brought to the evening. But given the food quality, I don't see myself going back.

It has taken a long time for us to try this Ronnie Killen concept but it is wonderful. We started with the grilled octopus and the crabcakes stuffed with shrimp. The red pepper aioli on the crabcakes wasmperfect with a bit sweetness to compliment the crabcakes. The grilled octopus is braised in red wine and finished on the grill paired with hummus, pickled cauliflower, watermelon radish and grapes is perfect. For mains we went with a wet aged rib medium rare plus and a braised short rib and both were completed perfectly. If u can eat the short rib in one sitting u r a monster!
