The food is great, especially the turkey tips. It's one of the better BBQ places on the south side. Admittedly, I haven't tried them all, but I've tried enough to know I prefer Alice's.
Unlike many South side walk-up eateries, Alice's accepts cards. Depending on when you go and what you order, you will wait up to 30 minutes gorbyour food. You could previously order from. Grubhub and Ubereats, but now the apps simply say they are closed, when they are obviously open.

The last 2 times I've been it was horrible! Dry Hot links, not enough sauce, tips were tough and hard.... Same sauce but definitely not the same quality....????????

Do not buy here. They tell you 15 minutes but it usually takes an hour. They are unprofessional and unorganized, even though they have Turkey leg on the menu, its either a 3 hour wait or they are out. Always!!!
I paid 11.93 for a half a chicken and got two extremely small pieces.
I will never reccomend or buy there again.
Typical ghetto service!

Worst BarQ ever no season boil meat wasn't grilled at all. no smoke flavor, tastes like fat meat no season barbecue sauce on the side. offers tasting stuff I've ever had in my life time.

I have been eating here for years. One thing their sauce has been consistently very good but the rib tips. Oh no. Never again!! Now the food is so hit or miss. Definitely pre boiled ribs. It’s a No for me. Find another local rib joint. this one is not worth the wait. Sorry but you have lost a customer.

I ordered a Barbecue turkey leg. I guarentee you that turkey leg never came close to a barbecue grill in its life. Absolutely NO FLAVOR. And the barbecue sauce didn't help at all ..Top it off half of it was dry.. If I order barbecue from a black owned restaurant It absolutely must be cooked over charcoal (Barbecued ) ,OMG. How. SAD

I liked the barbecue rib ends. I know after reading the reviews the chance of getting good barbecue is 50/50 at the place. However I got some good barbecue, I was a little worried but that stopped after tasting the food. Barbecued quite well and I liked that it was a little burnt more, made the ribs taste even better. The sauce tasted good and the fries with sauce too.

Was there over the memorial day weekend and ordered rib tip and link combo. For 19.00 we received one very dry hot link and maybe 8 to 9 rib tips. Totally awful and then after getting cash I noticed they now accept card. What a waste of time and money. Never again

It's great they take debit cards, however I'm a handicap individual standing in line with 4 people ahead of me with my shaking legs. You can't call in the orders and that's why I haven't been there for years, because of the PROCESS. You just know when you get there the process of taking "the" order and receiving "the" order is terrible.

Food was good years ago! All these restaurants have went down! Ordered combo link & tips, link was stale! old as hell. Tips tasted boiled. Chicken meat bland! I'm so over restaurants. I will be cooking at home. I'm 47. I KNOW MY FOOD! Fries old, hardly, no sauce???? #done

Customer service is horrible. The cashier is rude. You would think a restaurant that have been in the neighborhood for decades would invest more into providing better service. The food is subpar. I don't know why they think it's ok to pour a whole gallon of sauce in an order. The bag be heavy so you think it's a lot of food then you open it and see it's just all the sauce adding the weight. They really need to provide some serious customer service training for their cashiers.

For years friends and family have been raving about this Alice restaurant food on how great it was, so last week I went to buy a combo pan of tips and links. In my opinion the prices are pretty expensive and the pork rib tips taste like they have been boiled first and then put on the pit flame fire, that in my opinion removes a lot of the natural pork flavor but does tenderize the meat. I had better ribs and will not go back

Paid $1 extra for double cut on tips with hot sauce...and received regular tip with mild sauce. SO DISAPPOINTED AFTER WAITING 30MINS
