This is my new favorite pizza. I'm not a big fan of pizza so this means a lot!
The crust is crisp, delicious and not soggy. And the sauce is well seasoned, like a pasta sauce - not just a can of tomatoes dumped on to the pizza. Very herby and a little sweet - not something that will blast your stomach with acid. Not overwhelming cheese - which I like - you can taste the ingredients.

We’ve been consistent customers for YEARS and their pizza - both thick and thin - have been good. Some of the thick pizzas we’ve eaten have been exceptional. The quality really depends on the person making your pie, so kudos for the consistency over the years.
Except for this week. We ordered an extra-large thin sausage pizza on Monday 8/8/22 and… I don’t know who made that pizza, but it was a disaster. I wanted to call but I didn’t and I regret it. If I’m going to splurge and spend $30 for a pizza, it better look and taste good. This was neither. I can run to Jewel and buy a pre-made pizza for $12 and it would have been better than what we received this week.
Management: Watch how your pizzas are made and cooked. Maintain your quality. I’ll write this off as a mistake. Next time we’re gone.

I can't say for certain how authentic their deep dish Chicago-style pizza is, but it seemed to fit all the criteria I've seen on cooking and travel shows.
And regardless of authenticity, it's totally delicious. We had the spinach and cheese pie, their specialty.
Friendly staff. Small, neighborhoody place. A great stop.

Lived in Chicago my whole life and I had never had Bartoli’s pizza until a few days ago. I stopped in to get a slice and the employee suggested that I try the deep dish sausage (I asked which was the best in his opinion). Y’all, it was so damn good! I will definitely be ordering pizza from here for my family.

The atmosphere was really nice. Everything came out hot and fresh. The sauce on the wings were finger licking good. The cheese balls were delicious. We had the family size thin crust half pepperoni half sausage and it was really good. The Italian sausages on the pizza themselves was pretty amazing in every bite. The staff was helpful and polite. The owner even came out to each individual table to check on the customers which was just outstanding. Only thing I wished was that they had pitchers to serve their drinks and bigger cups. We just purchased the largest size soda available. The cups provided were 6 oz plastic cups which after 2 or 3 swallows had to be refilled. Overall a wonderful family dining experience and will truly recommend and return. Thank you all for the hospitality.

10/10 Amazing, order literally whatever you want and you won't be disappointed. Food is amazing, service is outstanding, staff is so nice and genuinely care about everyone.

Amazing pizza, the Mahgarita deep dish was delicious, the sauce was so fresh and succulent! High quality ingredients for sure. Atmosphere was great the main guy behind the counter was very helpful and had some great reccomendations.

Ok moved to Az a few years ago and love it but I do miss Chicago food, especially pizza. Saw the goidbelly app offered pizza and other foods from various cities. I am now no longer pizza deprived. Wish it was little bigger so I could cut it into squares????????????

I came to Chicago wishing I could find the BEST authentic deep dish pizza and I did! Bartoli's Pizzeria honestly has the best pizza i have ever had. If you are even close to the area you are going to want to add this to your bucket list!

My girlfriend and I ate here for the first time today, and let me tell you, it was fantastic! We got a Chicago tavern style pizza with fresh sausage, green pepper and just the right amount of cheese. We will definitely be back!

One of the best thin crust pizza I tasted in quite a long time .up there with a short list of the best of them.
Had the medium sausage pizza and was enough for two...crisp and very flavorful.
The restaurant was busy with a good wait staff.

Decent deep dish in Wrigley/lakeview area. Not my favorite place but still a good slice. Usually get the sausage and pepperoni. Pizza sauce is pretty decent.

I may still prefer NY's pizza over Chicago's (so sorry!), but count me as somebody who does think deep dish is pizza, and that it's not all that far behind NY. Bartoli's convinced me of that. I particularly love the sauce. I'm the kind of guy who feels that sauce is the most underappreciated and underutilized part of pizza. It is the jumping off point for all of the other flavors, and Bartoli's does it well. Don't forget wonderfully massive amounts of delicious cheese and a crispy, flaky crust. The restaurant itself has nice charm, and it is right in beautiful Roscoe Village where I would live in a heartbeat. However, don't be naive like my deep dish amateur self and think it'll have a similar cook time as NY style (in retrospect - duh!). It'll take about 45 minutes for your pizza to be done, so it's not a bad idea to order it ahead of time so it'll be ready when you get there.

Great pizza! Their deep dish pepperoni is phenomenal. Their pizza sauce may be the best I’ve ever had, as well. The atmosphere is cozy, and several tables are near a large window that affords good views for people watching. I also appreciate the BYOB policy, and it’s convenient that there is a liquor store across the street with a good variety of (very marked up) alcoholic beverages. I have been thinking about this pizza ever since my visit and look forward to returning to Bartoli’s again!

I have been to Bartolis at least 10 times since I moved here last year and I absolutely love it. The pizza is delicious, the delivery is fast and friendly, and I've honestly never had an issue with service. Today I also tried their cannoli and it was delicious.

I really like this pizza joint. I have to update my review from 5 stars to 3 stars. Why? Every time I order the largest pizza they have and request to have them cut it into little squares (so more than 5 ppl can enjoy it) instead of the big triangle pieces it never happens. They always cut it triangularly. The pizza is still great just disappointed the staff don't listen. So, I stop ordering from them.
Hello Bartoli's. Thanks for the response. What I meant is I specifically let the person taking the order knows that I would like the pizza to be a party cut. When I received my orders they usually comes in pie cuts. I actually called back once to let the staff knows that the pizza was not cut according to my request. On the other hand, you guys have some good sauce and great pizza. I have been a fan for a long time.
