We had dinner here tonight and it was phenomenal!!!! We got sushi to share and it was all delicious! Honestly one of the best sushi places we've ever been to, it's a shame we don't live in Chicago. The staff are extremely friendly, the women who we believe to be the manager took great care of us. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the insane quality. WE LOVED OUR EXPERIENCE HERE!

The sushi was some of the best I have ever had. We had bar seating which was nice but to up the ante the waitress brought over a light and fresh flowers to make things feel more romantic. She was extremely friendly! So between the out of this world food and the excellent customer service Friends Sushi is a force to be reckoned with.

Went to visit my daughter in Chicago and she treated us to dinner at Friend Sushi. Beautiful decor and style.
Also Beautiful presentation of each dish. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. Staff was very welcoming and appreciated our patronage.
One thing that could be improved is that some of the furniture and chairs had light stains on them and should be takencare of.

We loved everything, nothing missed the mark. The Nigiri was sublime, the torched fatty Salmon was my favorite. The Friends and Tiger Eyes Maki rolls were also great. My wife's Unagi donburi had fatty and delicious eel cuts. Our ceviche tasted fresh and writhed great with the crackers. They had run out of desserts so they must be good! Service was super friendly and fast. Would definitely come back again.

We ordered the dragon dance and Catalina martini to drink and both were delicious! There was a lychee in the dragon dance that was a great finish to the cocktail. The rolls were absolutely fantastic as well.

Came at 9pm on a Saturday and vibe was just right. Nice people running the place, tasty menu too. Plenty of character - 5 stars.

Very high quality sushi in a very neatly designed restaurant. It was extremely busy when I went (around 8pm on a Tuesday) but it made complete sense the second I tasted their food. The rolls are quite fairly priced and one of the lowest priced restaurants in the area at that time of night.
Cons:
The person working the register seemed like she was spread a bit thin but was still super polite and worked as quick as she could.
I highly recommend making a reservation before trying to go just to be sure you will be able to get a table. Even though I made one and arrived on time I was seated about 25 mins later.
The only other con I could give aside from the place being busy is the lack of non-alcoholic drink options, but even then it's manageable.
Pros:
Everything else.
No, really. The chairs were super comfortable, the food was incredible, the service was surprisingly fast after I was seated, and the rolls were priced low for how good quality they are.
It was just a good overall experience and 100% worth the wait.

Great tasting sushi that is well executed and with great variety. Friends sushi delivers on a solid experience with good quality sushi and special rolls to suit every taste. Highly recommended trying the spicy edemame before diving into sushi. We will be coming back.

Order the salmon donburi. The salmon is melt in your mouth fresh and the rice has that distinct rice wine vinegar taste and pop.
Note - the Wasabi is not for the faint of heart. Super fresh. Super hot.
If you order sushi go with the Rush Roll without cream cheese and the sweet potato role.

It was good, but I have had better! Sushi was tasteful and nice, but lacked something. The cocktails were great! We had a wine, which was not up to the mark, so our waiter changed it for us and also recommended a better one. All said, it was a lil on the expensive side for the quantity of food. Definitely would go elsewhere before considering coming here again. Also, service however was great and my waitress was very attentive.

Here is the best I have ever ate sushi. I highly recommend the Friends Maki (rich in texture and flavor) and the Mango Martini. Service is excellent. Nice and comfy place ????

Friends Sushi has a great atmosphere. I really like the lounge vibe. The sushi is fresh and the plum wine was good.
The staff at Friends Sushi are really accommodating - thank you! The chef was able to make a few ingredient changes, which allowed for more people in the group to experience the great food.

DELICIOUS!! I recommend the "23st" and the volcano. It's the perfect order.
Cute little restaurant, feels like I'm in a corner in Tokyo. Love the ambiance and their playlist. Not busy and very friendly staff.
I'm not exaggerating when I say, this is the best sushi I had in my life!
I almost proposed to the chef ????
