Friendship Chinese is a great spot for Chinese food in Logan, Avondale. We had dinner on a Friday night when my friends were visiting from out of town and they loved it. The staff was helpful and kind. The food was lovely. Really enjoyed the pineapple fried rice and Mongolian beef. All of the noodle dishes are great options as well. The interior doesn’t make it seem like you’re in Chicago. I will definitely be back soon.

Unexpected 5 star gem of a restaurant!!!! Top shelf cuisine with great attention to quality ingredients. Service was excellent, Alan and staff went above and beyond call of duty. Egg rolls, potstickers, duck, and short rib out of this world. Nice final touch with chocolate fortune cookies and music box check holder.

Top notch food. We got this as take out while a group of friends were in town. Everything was really good. The Pork Shu Mai were flavorful and feast. The sesame beef was crispy on the outside but tender. Garlic noodles were crisp and everything was hot and wonderful. Even spicy chicken fried rice was really flavorful and had good heat.

Excellent service amazing food great prices!! The scenery is wonderful truly lively! This is my second time here and to be honest even better then the first!! It just gets better and better the food is so good! The service is spectacular and the service is tremendous!! I really recommend coming here for a great a amazing time and of course the food!!

We have long been fans of Friendship Chinese Restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious! I love the Hong Kong Street style dishes and my husband loves the Barbarian steak. There are plenty of yummy appetizers as well. We have tried many of the dishes over the years and have enjoyed all of them.

My friend and I had a lovely, delicious dinner here! I am of Chinese descent and love Chinese cuisine. It has been hard to find good Chinese food in the city outside of Chinatown. We had the pork shumai (scrumptious) and the shrimp chive rolls from the dimsum menu. And then we ordered the Gai Lan Beef Crispy Chow Mein (favorite of the night) Honey Glazed Walnut Shrimp, and the Tofu and Eggplant dish. Cocktails were lovely too! Food came out hot, portions are generous. We enjoyed every bite and will be back!

The food is delicious and the customer service is delightful. I come here all the time. My favorite drink is the lemon ginger martini. This is a nice place to take your date to.

Friendship Chinese offers such quality Chinese food and the overall experience of dining in is great too - favorite elements include the orange-infused water and that they bring you hot towels.
We went for their Tuesday Night Special (that apparently they’ve had for 15 years). They recently had to raise the prices due to the increase in costs that we are all seeing across the board, so that’s understandable.
It was still a great value and all of the food tasted great! We had the teriyaki salmon and combination fried rice, as well as the crab rangoon. Our friends enjoyed their dishes as well!
Service is a little slow (so many places are understaffed so this is also very understandable), so give yourself some extra time to enjoy your meal.

Had an amazing meal here tonight - started with the egg rolls and the dumplings, both of which came out hot and fast and were super tasty. For entrees we had the barbarian steak, the oh wow cashew chicken + long beans, and the honey glazed walnut shrimp. Everything was hot, well-seasoned, super flavorful, and came in really generous portions. The service rivaled that of 5-star restaurants. We will definitely be back.

I was really looking forward to friendship’s Tuesday special. Got there early at 5:15 since they open at 5:00. Understandably they needed to raise prices given higher food prices. The food still tasted good but wasn’t amazing and came room temperature. Look they are severely understaffed and it made the experience frustrating. It took one hour to get our food and the food didn’t come out together and when it was served it seemed it sat in kitchen for awhile given the food temperature. They also forgot the appetiser we ordered. They actually closed indoor dining while we were eating and turned away customers that made their way to eat. There were only 3 tables occupied and that was too much for them to handle. I wouldn’t recommend dine-in or carry-out at this point unless you are willing to wait for a few hours. I hope they can get back to normal since it used to be such a great place.
