So unfortunate for me this last trip was not the best. I called ahead a gave my order, but when I arrived they did have my order at all. The lady at the counter said I may have ordered at the other location. I showed the numbers called. The correct number. Nevertheless I ordered again and waited. Got home and no fries with my bucket of tips. Normally I oeder an extra order of fries smh.
I still gave 5 stars, food is great. Never had this problem before.

Ribtips are the size of rib bones. For whatever odd reason, they cannot chop the tips small. On each visit I request tips to be chopped small and each time they are unusually chunky. I have patronized MANY rib joints and this is the only one with enormous tips. And the tips were mediocre. I'm done and will never patronize I57 Rib House again.

8/17/22 Edit: I have no idea what happened very suddenly to this place. Ordered a large tip and what I received was SOME rib tips and then some other cut of meat that def was not a rib tip. Also, I asked for them to be cut large and the woman said that they can't do that because they have a machine chop them (red flag). Then the tips were ready super fast with no chopping sound (another red flag) . Then when I get home and open them up they were already cold (another red flag) and seemed to be mixed parts of the pig that had been cut prior and kept warm on a warming tray. Rib tips are not thick like a roast no matter how you chop them and they don't have thick veins. (I figure that this was a pork roast that they chopped up and mixed with the tips to cut down on costs.) and they don't have huge veins in them.
Everybody was pretty polite but I'm done with this place. When I order tips I want tips! Not a few tips with some pork shoulder mixed in. I've been loyal for years but I cannot accept this latest change. What a difference 6 months can make...and not a difference for the better.
2/2/22: Had not been to this place in a while. Frankly, I thought they had lost their touch and last time my food was overdone and cut like scrap. I don't know what made me go back but it was a big difference. The ribs were so on point I went back for the tips. Really, really good.
I guess who is tending the fire makes all the difference because whoever was working it on 2/12/22 is one of the GOATs

I bought a bucket up tips and a small link got stringy meat and overcooked meat. This is the last time I will patronize this location I'm so disappointed and embarrassed after bragging about the food. First hint not to order when there was no answer on the phone and couldn't order via Uber eats. Gave 2 stars because the links were ok.

I ordered turkey tips and my friend got the the sm pork tips. Turkey tips were old and had that refrigerator taste. Pork tips were burnt and nothing but bones. Don’t waste your time going here.

We were getting barbeque for Father's day. We ordered a full rib dinner and whole chicken that was $48. Only came with fries. They ran out of whole chickens, they gave me a 1/2 & 7 wings. Rib n 1/2 chicken very dry, chicken like chewing paper. Wings n sauce good.

I use to frequent i-57 for over 30 years thid was my place for ribs even when i moved to the suburbs. HOWEVER, my visit yesterday has changed my mind. Aesthetically the place looks ???? % better however nothing has changed overall. No greeting when approaching the counter, you have to scream your order, just pay and move. I got my orders (large tips-2) only to find more than 3/4th of the order had no meat as it was bones w sauce. I know i asked for RIB TIPS. Who does that-and you want me to support you taking my $$ for RIB TIPS that I didn't receiving ABSOLUTELY NOT. Maybe that's why you cannot request chopped small? I attempted to call back but you guessed it NO ANSWER. As African Americans we want to support black owned businesses but they make it impossible its either the lack of customer service, the quality of food and the price. Nope I'll take my $$$ elsewhere as this treatment is unacceptable. I can't control how the business is ran but I can control how and where I spend my $$$ and this is NOT THE PLACE.

Love love the barbecue here. I was visiting from North Carolina and had to get this delicious barbecue. Hot and mild sauce. Nc doesn't sell rib tips.

First time there... over crowded..disorganized ... rude people... someone was there selling socks... etc. Food was over priced. I ordered turkey tips and okra asked for the sauce on the side well I got soggy french fries white bread and plenty of sauce on it. The first time ive had turkey tips and the last...the meat was aged and thats probably why they didnt give me the sauce on the side. The side order of okra was very good...

There's not enough time in the day to discuss all the problems with this place. The quality of food is inconsistent, but the service is always bad, no matter how many changes they make. Why have 4 windows if you can only order from one? Why are the delivery orders given priority over phone orders, and why do we have to stand in the same line as the walk-ins placing orders? It'll never change because a lot of ppl will accept bad service if they think the food is worth it, but it really isn't, not to mention it had my stomach messed up for 24 hrs after I ate it, so on that note...⬅️✌????

How can you continually and consistently make the same mistakes when people are paying their hard earned money to celebrate your business and nothing changes?!!!!!
I even attempted to speak with someone from management and it was "business as usual "
My next stop will be the BBB about this because at this point they are either doing it on purpose or the don't care!

I don't even know why they have a listed phone number!!!
They ask you to press one if you want to place a phone order, but if you're driving from nearby you will get there before they pick up the phone and they are not even busy. You place your order through a bullet proof window. The service is not good, it is take out only no dining inside and there's no place for you to seat down while waiting for your food. They don't even get your order right, I asked for regular BBQ sauce and spicy BBQ sauce on the side, they only gave me one spicy. The ribs are good but though because they are way over cooked and dry. They are in a desperate need of a pitmaster, or someone who takes a little pride in what they cook.

The worst service ever. Whether it’s in person or via Uber Eats. If an order asks for sauce to be placed on the food, why do we receive the food without our request being followed? What’s the point of asking us if you won’t fulfill the request? I would give them ZERO stars if that was an option. All cashiers are rude. I’ll definitely never order from them again

I'm done with them. The food has took a big drop. The rib was either boil or bake. Part of the rib was tender and the other half was tough. They missed putting sauce on some of my ribs so as I move the ribs around to sauce them up I notice that there was grease in with the sauce when I moved the meat.
