Birthday dinner. Sadly our server spilled my wife’s glass of wine all over my shirt and pants. I was whiling to forgive that and felt extremely bad for her also because accidents do happen. But the service was slow . They forgot my daughters lemonade for over 45 mins and this was ordered before the drink was spilled on me . Food was of good quality . General Manager was very nice guy comped our desert and drinks and honestly saved the place in my opinion. Food was good just unlucky experience mixed with poor service dragged down otherwise good food.

I decided to take a tour of Chicago steak houses for my birthday, because why not. I chose Kinze because it is woman owned and I was interested in the menu. I will say it was the most regretful $200 I have ever spent.
I ordered the avocado tuna tartar, it was good but basic, nothing jumped out as "omg this is great!" But it was satisfying; I then had the rack of lamb with a feta crusted potato(sounds good right?) and a side of creamed spinach. I am so UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED in the lamb entree, it was literally just pan seared meat....no flavor other than meat and a potato that was half done but nothing else other than potato....no butter, no salt, no nothing, no love. The reduction was loose with no flavor and I had no tomatoes, olives or capers as described on the menu. The creamed spinach was very good. Nonetheless, the waiter was nice and friendly and even took it back to bring me a new plate, unfortunately it was not any better. The meal seemed rushed and again unloved, but the rushed part amazes me since I was the only person in the restaurant.
One thing i will say is that whenever I have been to restaurants that I am planning to drop some cash at, including steak houses, I'm always asked my choice of water, dude just poured the water n left and I had to ask twice for sparkling, I know that is a very minor detail but it did bug me a bit.
Overall, it is sad to say it was just so so disappointing ????

If anybody leaves less than a 5 star review they are lying. The service and all the stuff were amazing. The food is not even comparable to anywhere else I’ve ever been. I came in with a group of 14 and we all agreed that everything we’ve ordered was the best we’ve ever had. I challenge you to try and find a better steak. If you can find it let me know because I will die eating that steak. Everything about this experience was amazing and I could never recommend and establishment more than I will recommend Kinzies chophouse

Great service, food and atmosphere. Always have a good experience dining here. Almost always order a porterhouse with a side of the whiskey peppercorn sauce along with garlic whipped potatoes and creamed spinach parmesan. Been too long since my last visit but ill definitely be in again soon.

Not for the faint of wallet, but worth EVERY penny! I went there after an event for work, there were about 15 of us. The highly attentive wait staff didn't miss a beat from the first drink all the way to dessert. They bring the different cuts of meat out to show you exactly what you're getting with each type of steak.
The 16oz filet mignon is the way to go! The sides I tried were the garlic mashed potatoes, the roasted mushrooms, and the Mac and cheese - all flavor rich and done just right.
If you've got a super appetite then I recommend starting with the fat back, shrimp, and shrimp cakes appetizer platter. Just amazing! The oysters are super fresh too, and the horseradish and sauce they serve with them is a perfect pairing.
If somehow you manage to leave room for dessert, I highly recommend wrapping up with one of their dessert drinks!
I would have loved to include some photos, but I was too busy eating!

What a nice steakhouse. The inside is bright, yet classy. The service was amazing!!!! I love that they show you the steaks beforehand. I got the porterhouse and my partner got the delmonico, both great cuts. The pesto, feta, & sriracha whipped potatoes made my life worth it.

I came here on new years Eve with my hetero life partner. They had a 5 course set menu that night.
Drinks: The drinks started out with me wondering whether or not there was any alcohol in my beverage, as I told my partner how displeased I was with my drink, I think the staff might have overheard my comments because the following drinks were much more acceptable.
Service: Each course was dropped off at the table with zero explanation or introduction. Each course delivered by different staff (not our waiter). I didn't eat 2 out of the 5 courses and received no reaction from the wait staff.
Food: The food was acceptable, but nowhere near the level I'd expect for the price point. I ordered a beef tenderloin medium rare, when it came out it was blue (less than rare). I had to send the steak back only to get it charred on the outside beyond preference.
20% gratuity added for a party of 2? Please.
I would not recommend this steakhouse if you're looking for a great steak in Chicago.

After arriving in Chicago Friday for a girls trip we called ahead and made reservations with no problem. Upon arriving we were greeted and seated everything was going fine until the food actually came. Of a party of 4, 2 ladies ordered the lobster risotto. We all inquired what came with the meal as we were unfamiliar with risotto, our waiter Luis became agitated once we realized when the food came we did not need extra sides that were ordered at which point we asked to send those items (mash potatoes and Mac & cheese) back. He stated he could not take them back. I asked for a manager THAT NEVER came but the items were taken back and off the bill. The food was great however, the service became poor after simply asking to send 2 side dishes back that were never touched. Still would recommend this restaurant and urge anyone to google what they are ordering if Luis is your server.

The appetizers: tuna tartare, pork bellies, calamari were excellent. The key lime pie and espresso and Stella Artois were excellent. The service was excellent. But I was really looking forward to the steak and this is a steakhouse. I had the 16 oz dry aged Delmonico, $68, and it was not a good experience. There was so much fat and grizzle, it was really more like 4 oz of delicious steak and about 12 oz of fat, grizzle and mediocre meat. You would think the chef or somebody in the kitchen would look at that piece of meat before they bring it out to a customer and say hey maybe this isn't really up to our standards, but I guess not. I would definitely go back because I work across the street from there at the merchandise mart, but I'm definitely not going to order steak there again. Very disappointing. Tasted more like a steak from Outback or something versus a high-end downtown restaurant.

Truthfully just over-priced for the quality. Good service. We had a a party of 7 and it cost us $600. Had to send back under cooked salmon and steak was not cooked correctly. We ordered steak ravioli, prime rib, salmon with Caesar salad, filet, Mac, mashed potatoes, oysters, mushroom side and veggie medley. Nothing spectacular compared to similarly priced restaurants in the city.

Came here for my birthday, and while the staff was attentive and polite, I was generally underwhelmed by the food. My filet mignon was fine, but my friend's New York Strip did not come bone in and had so much fat that only a few bites of the 14oz was edible. the sautéed green beans were about on par with what a I cook myself from a Hello Fresh meal. Additionally our beef tartare was forgotten and had to asked to be removed from the bill. However their arugula and peach salad was delicious and well portioned, and the drinks were also excellent, having the peach whiskey smash and an extra dirty martini.
The main dining area was bright, clean and relatively unadorned, no distinctive style to add or detract from the experience. Found it to be a bit cramped, while tables were spaced a decent length from one another, they will positioned in such a way that it did not feel there was much space. Being in a large, unobstructed room made for a noisy environment as well.
Overall, outside of drinks and salad, Chicago has many superior steak restaurants to choose from; Swift and Sons, Maple and Ash, Gibson's, Gene and Georgetti's being prime examples

Hands down the best steak we’ve ever had. I love this place and I am so grateful that I found this hidden gem. Whenever I come to Chicago it is a priority for me to eat here. The staff is attentive, the meal, superb. The cheesecake is a must try!
