Love this family shop! They are very kind people and everything is so fresh. Their pastries and horchata latte are to die for!

Heard that the tres leches cakes here are amazing. Got the original vanilla tres leches and it's pretty good. It is my first ever tres leches cake and takes spongy and moist. It is only a bit too sweet for my taste but other than that it's recommended. I took also the iced version of the cappuccino, found it very good and light (some stores make it feel heavy with milk and cream).

I absolutely LOVE their tres leches. The dulce de leche is favorite and the vanilla with chocolate is my second favorite. They have other flavors avaialable, as well as choco flan. I live in the suburbs but any time I am in Chicago, I make sure to stop by and get something. If not I'm there every september to treat myself for my birthday lol

Delicious! Been wanting to go here for years & finally made it. It was so worth the wait! The caramel tres leches was light & airy & wasn’t too sweet. The choco flan had a nice dense texture & deep chocolate flavor. The flan was creamy & dense too. Sooo good! Will return soon to try other flavors of tres leches.

I always read about this place on the lists of bakeries for Chicago, about their selection of cakes. They really do not have any significant selection. If you want tres leches, you are all set, and they have that in 3 flavors, but if you want anything else, you are out of luck.
The staff was friendly.
The store was dark, like half the lights were off.

My wife and I tried this place after hearing a lot of great things about it. We ordered a slice of the vanilla and coconut tres leches cake. They were amazing - no complaints at all. Absolutely delicious and the best tres leches I’ve had in Chicago. The cake was moist and packed with flavor - creamy with hints of coconut and vanilla that did not overpower but only accentuated the deliciousness of each bite. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg, and American cheese - nothing too special for $6 but a decent sandwich. My wife also got the chipotle wrap which had generous portions of chicken, but was also nothing too spectacular. Even with the mediocre sandwiches, we would definitely go back for the tres leches cake.

One word- wow! A family owned cafe delivering some of the best food I’ve eaten in the city and now know what Rick Bayless was raving about. Martha makes the best cakes as we got their coconut Tres Leches for my birthday. Tamales and burritos are fresh and next time I’m getting their breakfast. So many yummy pastries and desserts! I just can’t wait to go back cause I’m now obsessed!!

This is a small place and has only street parking. But if you like tres leches cake "pastel tres leches", you must give them a try. They have the best caramel, coconut and chocolate flavor tres leches cake in the Chicagoland area. This is primarily a husband and wife operation, and everything is made to order. If you have a large order, make sure you place your order 24 hours ahead of time over the phone or on line. They also have some breakfast and lunch sandwiches, alongside chilaquiles, burritos and quesadillas. I also recommend the Mayan hot chocolate, or Mexican hot chocolate. If you don't like hot chocolate, they have coffee as well.

What a great place! Came in to get all the flavors of Tres Leches for my friend's birthday and she's in Heaven! She just keeps saying "oh my God" after every bite. Can't wait to visit again and try other menu items! Staff was extremely kind and personable. Would be a great place to meet friends for coffee or study if I lived in the city. Luckily I work downtown and can visit often!
