Always awesome. I come to this, or the Downtown Loop, location every year with my boys when we attend C2E2. It's the best Burger, Beer, Banger Music, and B-Movie place in the world. Love the Kuma Original, with a fried egg, on a pretzel bun. Delicious. Will continue to make Kuma's Corner an annual tradition.

This place was a breath of fresh air for a metal head like myself. My girlfriend and I were in Chicago for the weekend and her aunt recommended this spot.
The atmosphere was perfect. Metal music was playing over the speakers and the art and decor fit the vibe. I started with a margarita that was both delicious and effective. Food wise, we started off with the Buffalo chicken dip. It was a delicious appetizer that hit the spot. For my main event I got the "Plague Bringer" burger. VAMPIRES BEWARE. This burger was the perfect explosion of garlic flavor for a fan like me. My only complaint was I ordered it medium and it was a little more medium rare.
Overall this place has the right feel, the right stuff and a craft beer list long enough to try something new everytime.

Our waitress was Brittany and she was very friendly. I was recommended this place by my Aunt because she totally knows my vibes, and this place was totally My vibe. I loved the atmosphere and the music. I had the Ace Pineapple Cider which was delicious. I had a custom Mac n Cheese and it was equally as delicious. They had a monthly rotating burger and mac n cheese which I also enjoyed. Their menu fit the atmosphere and had a lot of creative names for their food which is fun. A bit pricey but it is Chicago, so I'm sure that's typical. (I'm a Wisconsin gal)

We had the server Madi, and she was SO awesome and nice! I'd go back just to see her, she was so nice. The food was delicious, I highly recommend it. They have a burger and a Mac and cheese of the month, which are super cool options, and they have an awesome local artist do chalk art for each of them that just looks fantastic.

Small Metallica inspired dive bar turned infamous burger joint was an experience. Come hungry or be prepared to take leftovers home.
Of the burgers I’ve enjoyed in life this was pretty good just overwhelming because I was not prepared for such a sizable portion from such a small but mighty kitchen. The pretzel bun really was delicious and put me over the edge. This burger was the only meal I had all day and I was perfectly content with that. Honestly, I didn’t have room to eat anything else. ????????
Great spot to chill and digest your burger in the outdoor patio in the back. Easy spot to drink the afternoon away on a full tummy or a sweet spot to come and drink to socialize after business hours. It’s a true neighborhood gem!

Disappointed. After hearing about these monster burgers and how good they were, I decided to give the place a try. I took my wife for a late lunch. I started with some BBQ pork fries and poppers. To start the fries were hard as if they were reheated from hours of being stashed. The poppers were good. When approached by the waiter asking about how our food was, I brought to his attention that the fries were hard and that the appetizer was no good. He offered to have the fries replaced but since we had already ordered the burgers and they come with fries, we declined the replacement. We ordered two burgers medium well and what we got served was more like reheated well done. The burgers we got were burned and tasteless. Like when you arrive late at a BBQ and you get a whatever is left reheated food. The burger buns were cold and hard. We ended up taking the top bread off and picking off what we could off the burned and dry patties. It is a shame since we had been looking forward to visiting this place. We did not enjoy this place at all.

It was an excellent experience dining in at the original Kuma's Corner. Their food was as good as I had expected. The regular fries are alright, the sweet potato fries are the ones to get.
The burgers we ordered were good, cooked exactly as we requested, and the vegetable toppings were fresh.
The baked Mac and cheese was fine, I recall it being better at the Schaumburg location.. alas we can't all win everything every time.
Portion sizes are hilariously large. No, the medium sized Mac does not serve only two.
I will certainly skip appetizers next time unless I want to take leftovers back home.

WELL DONE IS BURNT. READ THE MENU.
visited on a Tuesday & was not packed/busy
This place is amazing for anyone with good taste in music. We decided to go to the original location for our first time going to any Kuma's Corner. When we walked in and we were greeted by host and we ended up sitting at the bar. Within five minutes of sitting down we were given menus, water, and had been asked if we ever visited the location before. The bar tender was more than helpful and extremely friendly. The atmosphere is exactly what you would think it to be knowing that it is a heavy metal themed restaurant.
As for the food, we ended up getting three different appetizers. The pulled pork fries, cheese curds, and fried pickles. All three were equally delicious as the next. My partner had the Slayer burger and loved everything about it. From it's bed of fries to the bunless patty. I had March's burger of the month, Killswitch Engage. I thought I was going to be a fan of the cheeri dust but it worked well with the whole burger. I was able to enjoy a City Morgue drink (spirits). However the bar wasn't fully stocked so some drinks were unavailable during our visit. That was the only "bad" encounter.
Absolutely delicious and such a great atmosphere. We loved every second of being here.

In November, you will find the unhealthiest turkey burger you ever did eat. Their seasonal burger of the month is called "Sleep" and that is exactly what you will do afterward. Embrace your inner metalhead and give this place a shot.

The food and atmosphere of this place is amazing. It caters more towards the metal (music) community, but don't let that deter you from coming here. The food is delicious, the staff is super friendly and easy going. If you want a big, juicy burger and a plate heaped with mouth watering hot fries, this place is a must!

Ordered from kumas for the first time. Ordered 3 burgers and this is what I got! Charred meat. Dried unflavored hard meat!.. I had to cut it in half and try to scrap the burnt off the meat. I ended up throwing 80bucks in the trash. I called to complain and the manager said that’s exactly how they serve their well done burgers. I’m very sorry but that’s not well done that’s overly cooked and burnt! I will never again order from them again!

This was my first time at the OG Kumas. I ordered cheese curds, broccoli and chicken mac & cheese, and the sourvein burger. Cheese curds were fried to perfection. The Mac and cheese melted in my mouth. The Sourvein was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the flavors mixed incredibly every bite. One of my favorite burger experiences in Chicago so far. I had the
Double Marshmallow Cauallier (Stout - Imperial / Double) by Saint Errant Brewing as my beverage and enjoyed how smooth and rich it was.

Just amazing... I got the Metal massacre burger which has Habanero aoli, jalapenos, cherry peppers, pepper jack cheese, and ghost pepper seasoning... The food at Kuma's is always delicious. My girlfriend got the Mac of the month, hit the lights (awesome). Also, this month, on select burgers, Kuma's corner is donating money back to the national multiple scorses society. ????

Very good burgers! But the place is a bit noisy which could be fun if you expect it. Also, there is burger’s smoke all over the place

First time caller, long time listener. We were in the mood for Hamburgers and since I just moved two blocks away, there really was no excuse. Hands down - amazing burgers, both in portion and flavor. The beverage selection was on point as were the appetizers. Friendly staff, comfortable outdoor seating area. Very kid and dog friendly.
