The restaurant is lovely and the service was impeccable. I was surprised that the birthday dessert was not comped;; most better restaurants that I have been to usually do that. Also, I understand that there was a corner booth reserved for special occasions like birthdays etc. and the table was given to a party of two that arrived after we did even though I had requested a reservation for two and indicated that it was for an 85th birthday.

I visit this beautiful restaurant with a group of friends for a birthday dinner. The food was great. Our waiter Nicki B was the best, she did a great job of making recommendations and making sure our group enjoyed our time.

Visited on a weeknight with a large group. The restaurant has a lovely intimate feeling. Our server Philippe was incredible, always available without being pushy. Every part of my meal was so well prepared. I can't wait to go back!

Might be my fav place in Chicago. Excellent on all categories. Service is top notch, Nick was so knowledgeable, attentive, personable, and everything else you’d hope for from someone who holds the keys to your Friday night dining experience. The duck was fantastic, the citrus blend making it unique and delectable, even if I would’ve preferred it a bit more rare, my gf preferred it at exactly that same rareness that it was. And the lamb chops - wow. The horseradish paved the way, announcing “delicious lamb incoming”, to wake you up for the amazing perfectly seasoned chops. Great wine selection too, elevating the experience. Ambience is great too, with a manager stopping by to check on us. Thank you Marchesa for making this evening in our lives a memorable one, an unforgettable one.

This is for the Champagne Cave, downstairs from Marchesa. It’s a fantastic date spot. Nikki is very professional and friendly. It’s a small intimate place with several cozy loveseat tables. Nice lighting and a DJ. Reservations highly recommended b/c it’s so small that it is usually full.

We were greeted and seated with a smile. Our server (No name tag) was very helpful with the menu. Our water goblets were kept full and our bar drinks were delightful! Each person we encountered had a smile and made sure our food was good, our glasses were full, our plates were cleared and that we were happy with everything.
I had the Burrata and the Foie Gras and felt like I was in Foodie Heaven and the Creme Brulee was a perfect way to end the meal.
This is a must stop if you are visiting Chicago.

I ordered beef bourginoun for delivery and got...whatever this is. The meat was absurdly tough and there was 0 stew/sauce. I would've been better off heating up beef stew from a can.

Incredible food and staff. Our water never fell below 3/4s. Our server was so kind and gracious, even with our big family.The entrees we got were across the board impeccable. The deserts were on another level. We literally tried all of them and they were all truly perfect. We even ordered a second round of macarons.

The ambiance is welcoming; French music plays softly in the background. The server was French. The escargot and the mushroom soup were both delicious. The lamb was well prepared and tasty. The seafood risotto was fair; the presentation was lovely. Unfortunately, it was difficult to get the mussels out of their shells and impossible to get the lobster out of the lobster claw. I ate a few bites and brought the rest home for lunch the next day. We ordered two drinks (one red wine and one specialty drink with tequila). The wine was great; the specialty drink was nothing special. Prices are high; however, when in France...

We dine at Marchesa on our last night in Chicago, and food was excellent and a wide variety of French wine on the wine list.
Very chic restaurant and we will definitely come back next time we’re in town. We highly recommend dinner if you are looking for that real French cuisine taste.

Legitimate 5 stars. Atmosphere, service is outstanding. Food was out of the ball park.
A must visit in Chicago. Our buss boy was Fabio and he never missed a beat. Our waiter was Francisco. Exquisite on all levels.

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary here back in April. It was beautiful and romantic! The ambiance was perfect and the staff went above and beyond for the occasion. The drinks were incredible and the food was amazing! Bonus the table we were seated at had the most comfortable adjoined seats that felt really intimate. It was just lovely.
