Great bakery to get to get bread and a variety of latin pastries and desserts. Must buy more than $10 to use debit or credit card. The bread is amazing when it's fresh and the churros are great too.

Me and my boyfriend went to this bakery around midnight this Saturday 8/25/22 To buy some pantries and we saw some flies over the pastries,bread and then in the bottom there was a roach we told one of the employees and she was trying to kill it but she didn't throw nothing out.Where never going there again. Need sanitation in that place.

This is my 3rd visit. Like I said before you come inside and they had Lime Green trays with metal tongs. You can ask them what are these called. And they can explain what they are?
My favorite hands down are the Mexican sugar cookies these are big as your hand. And they are sweet. I love the tri-colored because it's Vanilla- Chocolate- Strawberry like a Neapolitan. I bought a Bright Pink= Strawberry and Bright Yellow= Vanilla and Oval twisted I was told plain Vanilla. I was searching for the Pig shaped cookies which are Molasses. Some can be spicy like Gingerbread. It was a good day to stop in. They are not that far from the Brown Line Kimball Stop. They sell baked goods, from Apple turnovers, empanada's, snacking cakes. And bread, rolls I saw chilled cake slices.

I was at the bakery this morning. I haven’t been there for a while and was shocked how different it looked. Managment have it nice and tidy. Never before looked this way. 8/8/2023

Irene is such a great person. It was my first time ordering from them for my son’s baptism. She gave me so many advices on what should I do and what I shouldn’t. She spent so long time showing me pictures and designs. I ended up getting the same exact design I was looking for. The taste was delicious and all guests loved it. Definitely recommended

Lawrence and Drake. Nice parking lot. Typical bakery offerings. Items look great but I was underwhelmed by flavor. Fillings for pastries were ok but the fruit fillings were good. Reasonable prices and 24 hours.

Markellos is my favorite place in Chicago! You cannot go wrong with anything in Markellos. Cheese danishes are amazing, the fresh bread comes out every 15 minutes and they're perfect for sandwiches, muffins are soft and light, and there's too much to choose from (which no one ever can complain about). Everything is fresh and hot and it's cheap! You will be lucky to have any pastries left by the time you get home. I highly recommend this place for anyone whether it's 5am or 5pm!
