I think this is one of the best meals I've had! The servers were attentive but allowed me to enjoy my food without interruption. The atmosphere was relaxed and moody. The menu provided gluten free options and they even had gluten free soy sauce.

Visiting a new town looking for the best places to eat can be a challenge. I think this place is right on track.
Fast and friendly service-they even serve a few Dim Sum dishes. The BBQ buns was flavorful and moist. I had a Tuna poke roll. The rice was amazing.
Sitting oustside was beautiful tonight.

Phenomenal food, beautiful ambience, and one of the best service I've ever received from a restaurant. It was busy and packed. But we got our food quickly and the server always seemed to come at the right time. Couldn't ask for a better dinner.

I really don’t write reviews, but this time I decided I will. So me and my coworkers, we order sushi from this place quite often, and every time we get our order, we never know which rolls are which because they never labelled and every time they put different rolls in the same container, despite that I put under the “notes or requests” section “Please pack it separately because it is for 3 different ppl, for example”, but they still don’t do that. So last time we ordered, same thing happened and when I asked the lady at the front “Can you please make sure they packed in 3 different containers”, she seemed to be having attitude, telling us that she will give us a container. We nicely asked her again to please ask someone at the kitchen to separate our rolls. And here is the picture of how they did it. HORRIBLE! And on top of that we always tip them, but we pick up food every time. I don’t know if we will ever order from this place again.

My server Sophia was amazingly attentive and provided excellent service. The atmosphere is very cool and welcoming. The food is amazing. The ramen is full of flavor and the Tom yum soup will make you sweat, so incredibly delicious.

Cool little sushi spot right by Loews, where we were staying. Stopped through for a quick bite and a Sapporo. The crab wontons were awesome!

Walked in on a Saturday evening, despite how busy it was, staff was able to squeeze us in without a reservation. We were lucky enough to beat the rush we saw waiting out the door. The friendliest staff thus far! They don't get enough praise ????????
Everything is always clean and served relatively quickly. Ingredients are always fresh and presentation is on point!
1000/10 recommend if you're visiting the city. Ample space for a family gathering. Romantic enough for a date. Ambiance is dim light, and low energy, good music ????

It was fine. Not the best but not the worst. Sushi was good. They didn’t have a few of the menu items available - not sure why — but the menu is large enough for you to be able to find something else.

Decided to stop by since the reviews were great, and we were disappointed. The sushi was lovely, it was very fresh and delicious. Appetizer wasn’t my favorite, but it wasn’t the worst. As for the drink, our waitress forgot about it until our food was halfway done and it honestly wasn’t the best. Overall, lovely little place to visit.

Came in rather late in the evening after a botched reservation on the pier. Was a bit turned off by the fusion element in the name but must admit, we were truly surprised. Our server was nice and efficient, didn't try to oversell anything or work us. Ordered two shrimp dumplings, crab rangoon, and several pieces of nigiri. Everything was absolutely amazing and fresh, with depths of flavor. Ambience and atmosphere was nice: dark and brooding and was almost like being in Tokyo. Highly recommend especially for those from out of town looking to impress clients.

The boba crepe cake was frozen ????????
Wagyu maki was average, but the fried gyoza was also frozen ????????????
Udon was good but that cake was really disappointing for what appears to be a higher end restaurant. I know 100% it was frozen because a shop i know uses the exact same crepe cakes and pulls them right out of the freezer. I could literally taste the defrost. I’m positive that the boba in the ube ice cream was crystal boba not tapioca ????
This place isn’t worth what it charges…

Service: Menu is straightforward and easy to order from. Waiter was very Attentive and helpful in making accommodations to our halal diet
Food: Ordered : Lotus Bowl, 2 Sushi Rolls, and Two ramen bowls. Our total was around $96, it is a bit pricy coming from Michigan for me but it’s in Chicago downtown so I get it. I also got a green tea ice cream-don’t recommend it unless you like the rusty feeling of green tea.
Highlight for me: The restaurants vibe and Ramen. My two favourite things is the actual seating at the restaurant because it felt like a really upscale but chill at the same time. The ramen was also delicious and definitely felt like I was eating bougie ramen. It is great for cold days with the soup basses that it comes in.

Second time at Niu Lounge and I am impressed! Centrally located in River north it’s a great place to come for dinner and movie with the AMC right next door. The food is great — I enjoyed two sushi rolls with a noodle dish that was unlike anything I’ve had before. Packed with so much flavor and perfect combination of savory/sweet. We sat at the bar and was serviced by Michael who gave great recommendations that added to our experience. Great food, good drinks, and great customer service.
The restaurant is consistently busy so make a reservation if you can and if you are trying to social distance here you won’t be able to.

The service staff are nice but they seem understaffed. Arrived for our reservation, but waited in line to talk to the host for 10 minutes before being seated. Order was not taken for another 15-20 minutes and food and drinks (we ordered an appetizer and cocktail along with sushi) didn't start to arrive until over an hour after our reservation time. They also substituted lettuce into our spider roll (see pics) instead of radish without asking which had a very strange texture for sushi.
The staff were apologetic and nice but we're not able to do anything about it. The food was good otherwise but seemed like they overbooked and did not have the staff or time to take care of us.
