I had the Chicago Fire salad. It was very good. The cafe was very clean and had good service. It was quite hot outside but inside it was very nice.

I ate at this café for the first time yesterday, and was pleased overall. The space was clean, the menu was clear with a good variety of options, and the food tasted fine. The service was fast, even considering the fact that there were only two patrons there. I got the Chicago chili dog (with chips and a pickle) and a cup of coffee. The prices were on the high side, and the hot dog and chili could have been served a bit hotter, but overall a lunch that was rather good. Located on the first floor of the Chicago History Museum building, adjoining (June 2022) a very interesting photo exhibition from the Chicago Sun-Times archives.

Love this hidden gem! We live in the neighborhood and eat here often, breakfast and lunch. Great food, great value, friendly staff. Salads, sandwiches made to order. (Better than walking over to Wells St, those places are overpriced.) Hi to Monica and Koz.

I stopped in here today for a late lunch after a lovely stroll to the lake. I arrived just a few minutes before closing time and they had sold out of the soup of the day (that's a good thing) so I ordered the Brie and Apple Panini. The sandwich was very good. Nice and toasted/crispy panini with gooey brie on green apples with carmelized onions and spinach. I am not going to lie: I daydreamed about having a thin slice of prosciutto in the mix but it was a terrific vegetarian sandwich. It was served with homemade chips that were delish. I could have subbed a salad or fries for a small fee if I so desired. Great location. Nice and clean. Fresh baked goodies available. I checked out the museum store while I waited for my food. I would go back and recommend it for lunch if you're near by. If you find this review helpful please hit LIKE. Thanks and enjoy!

An underrated little jem of a cafe with excellent coffee and made-fresh-to-order salads.

By far the best hotdog I've ever had in my whole life. The Chicago Vienna style hotdogs is the best. Nice friendly staff clean upscale feel but modest pricing. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the Chicago area!

Dining room was clean, quiet and bright. Burger was juicy and tasty. Unfortunately, wrap was bland and dry. Hubby did not like it and didn't finish. A bit pricy, but it's the museum cafe. So it's alright. Cashier could be a bit more congenial. Therefore, 4-1=3 star.

The food was great and there was a really nice atmosphere. However, the cashier seemed somewhat condescending and expected us to be familiar with the menu.

Pleasant place to stop in and grab a coffee and there's a reasonably priced menu with lots of sandwich and burger choices.
