Food was bland, at best. Ordered to go, they completely forgot one of my sides and the dressing for the salad. Place looks awesome, but when it's empty on a Saturday night, maybe it's a sign.

Pitiful experience. When you arrive to a neighborhood eatery at 7pm on a Friday night and it’s COMPLETELY EMPTY…Completely…that is a definite redflag. We asked if the TV could be turned on to watch the NBA Finals…the waitress tells us there’s no cable. As it was getting dark, we asked the waitress to turn on the lights, she said she had to ask the manager ???? We ordered the bang bang shrimp (fried shrimp with the sauce poured over it) and the fried pickles. No pictures. Both were ok. There’s was absolutely no ambiance, no people, no vibe. I’m not sure they’ll be successful, if this is the norm. I was really excited to visit, but I didn’t read the reviews before visiting. I hope it gets better.

Went for the Burlesque and jazz show .
Was elevator music. Magic guy spent 20 minutes cutting a rope.
Food was fine. Drinks were very good.
NOT worth the price.

Absurd prices for the amount/quality of the food. $21 for a tiny cup of etouffee with 3 shrimp in it? What a joke...

The server was nice, but the food was not so nice…got the side late and the portion sizes were ridiculous. $100 down the drain…we left disappointed and ordered McDonald after. MCDONALDS!!! I would like to see if they would pass an inspection on kitchen nightmare, geez…

Though the service was great the food was VERY DISAPPOINTING.
Portions small, cold, and TOO fatty. And though the sauce was tasty it was the equivalent of a spoonful...not enough to have with the few bites of meat.
Even the dessert was thawed and obviously brought in from somewhere else.

I hesitate to visit this restaurant. The outside of the property is always FULL of trash. I walk by daily, and the restaurant NEVER picks up trash around their restaurant. Can only imagine what the inside practices are.

Ok with all these negative reviews, we might not have went. We live close and wanted to try it out. The place was dead, but new rona communist papers regulations and bad weather might have played a part. The service was great. The food, I thought was pretty good. I've been fortunate (see my other reviews) to travel around the US and Canada. This BBQ was a nice difference. The ribs weren't fall off the bone but they had a very distinct, smokey taste and I really like them. The brisket was ok, not fabulous, but im I'm Chicago, not stl or Nashville or Texas. It still was better than some in the area. The pulled chicken and pork sandwiches were fine. The BBQ sauce was good. The Lobser Mac n cheese was Fantastic!!. The cornbread and its sweet butter was also freaking ridiculous good. We also had the bacon wrapped shrimp. They had a distinct smoke taste and were fun and good, along w the dip. Had the seafood boil and it was great for what it was. The potatoes in the boil were tasty.
Didn't go for the entertainment, but might try to see those things (magic show, burlesque shows) next time.

This is buffet quality food at best. The food is food. That is not a typo, it is mearly what it is. There is no flavor to anything. More agrecious than the prices, is that they do not have a selection of bbq sauces… what bbq place doesn’t have sauce?? Extremely disappointed. It is as if the staff do not eat the food. Nobody can eat that brisket or sides and enjoy it. I am skeptical that the meat is not artificially smoked or injected. The fat had not rendered at all.
You can have a much better meal at KFC for a third of the price.

I would highly suggest you go somewhere else. I visited this location on Saturday, November 21st with some friends visiting in town.
We nearly waited for our food for an hour, and when the food came out, it was cold. There were only three other tables seated at the restaurant.
When I received my food, the chicken and waffle dish, my waffle was not only cold but undercooked.
It seems the only waitress at the time left our food sitting in the kitchen for quite some time. I usually don't like writing reviews, but after spending $27dollars on this meal, I'm pretty upset. I could have paid less to have received better service and better quality food at McDonald's.
The only good thing about this place was the drinks.

They say southern style…. It was okay! Tried the shrimp gumbo, the shrimp was charred which gave the the rue a burnt taste…. Also they need to use some garlic too! But that drink was everything!

VERY disappointed!! We waited for well over an hour and never got any service. We did not have a reservation and were told there would be a wait because there is one server. It wasn't overly crowded. The server gave us water and never returned. After more than an hour and other servers arrived the restaurant became crowded. People who came in after us hot service. Finally when the table behind us, who came in well over a hour after us, got acknowledged from the 'maitre de' and got third order taken - we left hungry.

Went on a Tuesday night to Porkchop BBQ on Grand with my wife. 6 PM. Empty. Had started seeing more people on week ends. so thought we'd try the new restaurant, we live a few blocks away.
The food was terrible! I had the Baby back rib slab, and my wife and the chicken.
I've been managing large, good, to fine dining restaurants for 28+ years, 10 years here in Chicago.
The Meat was old, dried out; we could not finish more than half. The rib almost looked and had the texture of beef jerkey.
The server was polite, and nice. But since it appeared he was working both FoH and BoH, he would drop dishes off in a rush, to go back to the kitchen, then we'd have to wait for him to get parts of the dish we ordered, and wanted, along with needing sides. Had to wait over 15 Min to get the dressing for salad. I think he was helping prepare food too.
Very poor quality BBQ. Obviously old, dried out.

If I could give zero stars, I WOULD. The food was terrible. I ordered a two meat plate and a ribeye steak medium well. The steak was SO tough and almost RAW! They gave me what seemed like a half of a slab of ribs and a undercooked hot link. I asked for a side of macaroni which was dry and hard and 2 other sides. I would never recommend this to anyone. And i would also like my $76 back. This was the worst food I've had in a while. If I didn’t live so far away I would have definitely taken this back and demanded a refund!!
