Except Wagyu roll, that was a disappointment.

One of the best sushi spots in Chicago! Great ambiance (for both indoor and outdoor seating) and perfect for dates/work dinners too. Highly recommend the rock shrimp and dumplings. All of their cocktails are spectacular!

The Omakase was not just a great meal, it was truly an experience. Service was excellent, sake recommendations were based on what we'd actually like, and not pushing to upsell. Very memorable, highly recommended.

The Chef's selection Decadent Omasake was a game changer. A variety of options off the menu were chosen. The Sashimi was so good.The Filet was even better. The Wagyu melts in your mouth. 5 stars

The food was phenomenal but portions were small to say the least. Tried the Chicago - Restaurant Week option. The tuna maki sushi roll (4-piece), beef dumplings, and yellowtail sashimi were the first course and then I chose the black cod as my main entree and the berry custard dessert. Price -$55. It was delicious! I was just hoping for slightly bigger portions. I was still hungry at the end of the night.
The service here is great as well. My son dropped a toy on the floor and one of the servers picked it up even before I could!
Overall, I would recommend this place but just know that you may have to order extra sides or appetizers to satisfy your hunger! :)

Truly an unforgettable experience. The waiter was incredibly friendly and ended up helping us with all of our selections. Everything was cooked for perfection.

Started w the decadent omakase - first two dishes of sushi were extremely underwhelming and poor sashimi quality which we raised the issue to the waitress - the manager was accommodating by replacing w a few pieces of sashimi we requested which were still not greatest but we felt they cared. The remaining dishes were all great however!! It’s unfortunate the sashimi was such a turn off early in the meal - I would go to momotaro for sushi but If you want anything grilled I’d recommend it
Vibe was clubby and celebratory - service was very good - went on a Friday night in late March

Very fun and delicious place. Yes, it's on the expensive side...but still a good time and feels worth it. Great hip vibe and all dishes I've had are fresh and delicious. If you want a good place with trendy vibes and tasty food -- you won't be disappointed! Also good for work dinners.

Fantastic place with comfortable and warm atmosphere. Try the chefs tasting menu you'll have a great time, they really do a nice job of the selection and pairings.

I have to give Roka Akor 5 stars for the combination of amazing food, drinks and ambiance. The best way to describe the feel of this place is sexy. Low lighting, soft house music and modern, comfy furniture made it the perfect spot to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. Would highly recommend dynamite scallop and Serrano chili rolls. Waygu and kimchi dumplings were amazing as well. Fun cocktails too! The highlight, though, was the service. Our server was attentive and friendly, and she brought us free champagne and ice cream for the occasion!

Fancy restaurant a little bit loud music, the food was awesome, the staff extremely professional. Worth to try the wines.. Very good selection and the waiter was qualified. Good choice for a special occasion..????

This place is usually busy but also not impossible to get a reservation at. Obviously their steak dishes and sushi are good. They have a sticky rice option you can order that is off the menu. I was surprised to like the tofu dish. Also big fan of their shishito peppers.

Incredible. I can't say enough good things about the food and experience here. My only grief is that it isn't closer to my home so I could come more often! We had a date night at Roka Akor on a Friday night, and it was just such a great experience. Little too no wait for our food and the service was helpful and attentive. They have halal steak options if you ask. We got some appetizers as well as the skirt steak and lamp chops. Everything was delicious and melt in your mouth meat. The price is worth the experience and food to me. I can't wait to go back here next time I'm in Chicago!

Amazing dining experience in chi town!! On the pricier side but the food, service, and ambience more than makes up for it. The food was terrific, just wow. Hamachi Serrano Chili is a must must try. It finished within seconds and we had to order a second one. The NY prime steak and the sea bass was excellent too. The chocolate cake literally melts in your mouth. Perfect sweet ending to a fantastic dining experience.
This is a great place for a date night or girls night. Make reservations ahead of time. I highly recommend this place. 10/10 for me.
