Really good burgers and they open late (enough). The fries are crisp and burgers are super filling. When I'm watching Bob's Burgers all I want is Small Cheval because it's that good. Recommend going in the evening so you can experience the dine in thats in the back.

Couldn't get seated at Au Cheval so took a nice drive to Small Cheval instead. Worth the trip! The line moves along well and it's nice for small talk and people watching while you wait. The outdoor seating is really cute with a sizable space of lunch tables and benches all around. Perfect location for a delicious burger and some al fresco dining with your peeps or a date. Not cheap but a good investment in a good burger, drink (adult beverage and shake options). The fries won me over because they are super golden brown and crispy. Double fried perhaps but I'm not sure. The staff was friendly and conversational which was refreshing. Menu is NOT as expensive as Au Cheval but who cares... It's good! Definitely going back!

The brioche buns are toasted to perfection, and the ingredients all taste very fresh. Their milkshakes are delicious, and their house sauce is superb.
Among the best burgers I’ve had in my life, though as a vegetarian I would rate Small Cheval 4 stars rather than 5. This is owed to their up charge for a veggie burger as opposed to beef, and because their fries are fried in lard, and thus are not vegetarian.
The outdoor seating area is expansive and cute, and despite their small workspace, the kitchen does a great job of meeting the always high-demand.

Expect a delicious cheeseburger. How about that? Don't be afraid to go for the house special with some bacon. If you go for the full burger experience with fries, truffle cheese, and a cocktail, then you'll be in about $20. Have a good time, none-the-less, enjoy.

all together we got a hamburger, cheeseburger, and fries. the taste alone was amazing! the price is adequate for the serving size and stringed lights make the place look really pretty. i had dinner there yesterday around 8pm and it wasn't too busy. i enjoyed the atmosphere. next time i wanna get their boozy shakes since they looked really good.

I have enjoyed this place so much ever since I found out about it a few years ago. I like how simple their menu is! You can not go wrong with simplicity, which makes my food decisions easier . Favorite Burger is the Cheeseburger with the healthy ketchup. I love how fast you get your food,10-15 mim max! The stablisment looked very clean from the inside and outside. I will definitely recommend Small Cheval to my friends and family. Take out and pickup available as well.

Always a good burger and great fries. It is fast and a high quality burger. Generally juicy and delicious I find myself returning frequently. They have a great outdoor patio space but no indoor space so if the weather is bad, plan to get it to go.

A burger so famous, it has its own restaurant. You can’t go wrong checking out Small Cheval! Their fries are incredibly crunchy and full of flavour. Outdoor seating is plentiful, but they also do pickup and delivery if you are on the go.

Very delicious food, I would love to come again. The downside is that the wait times can be a couple hours long, but I highly recommend trying it at least once. On the plus side, Au Cheval's sister restaurant Small Cheval offers a cheeseburger almost as good as the original with little to no wait.

The burgers, fries, shakes, and drinks here are amazing. Old Fashioneds here are incredible. There is plenty of space outside to eat and the service, especially by Karen, is incredible. My only recommendation is that they should have a gluten-free hamburger bun but the lettuce wrap they provide for those who cannot eat gluten is still satisfactory. Make sure to get extra aïoli with your fries. Come here and you will not regret it. Heads up, if you don't wanna wait in line, consider ordering online for pick up.

This fast food was small. Although it's small , there are lots of people coming here. They have tables and chairs inside as well as they also had tables and chairs outside for outdoor dining. This place also was clean and neat.
It's just like it was self service since you can grab pork, spoons, condiments, etc. in one area. You can also grab some canned drinks including soda, beer and many more. They also had quick service since it was fast food. You will not wait too long unless you order a lot.
If you come here don't forget to order a burger. Their burger was great. It was small yet it was delicious. It's yummy. It has a lot of filling where I'm sure you will like it. I recommend this fast food for you. Try to come here.

Amazing burger!!!! The Dijon mayo brings the burger to a whole another level!!
Pricey for sure ($10 for the cheeseburger), but I think we’ll worth it. This is my new favorite place for burgers!!

Wow hands down out of this world knock your tastebuds to the moon burger joint. What else to say . Other than it's the best burger in Chicago . Really no joke. Your wasting time go there and have yourself the best dam burger . And let me tell you Rodney knows a good burger.

Can NEVER go wrong with a good ole fashion burger! Especially from Small Cheval! I don’t even know how to describe how good these burgers are, but they’re fire and their shakes are just as good.

Get the burger done all the way - BLT all the way on a cheese burger!!! It was really tasty! A burger and share fries and a coke - perfect pre-Sox game meal! Nice outdoor table in the shade and super clean bathrooms!!! Worth the wait in line if there is one!!!
