Absolutely the worst BBQ experience of my life. My food was made as a to go order when I wanted to eat it there. The only utensil they gave me was a spoon because they were out of forks and knives. My food sat out for 20 minutes because Blanca did not page me. I hope she is fired immediately. The brisket was 3 pieces at room temperature. 2 of the prices were completely dried out and not edible.

I've ordered from the Soul & Smoke Evanston location on Payne and from the food truck, and and everything has been delicious. I've also sat at the outdoor picnic tables. My favorite is the smoke brisket sandwich with a side of slaw, which includes dried cranberries and chopped apple. I'm usually not a fan of slaw, but theirs provides just the right balance to the smoky, tasty brisket. I've also had the pulled pork, which is saucy and delightful. Their Thanksgiving carry out options are also good--i ordered turkey, stuffing, and gravy. One of my friends who caters professionally even had Soul & Smoke provide the main courses for a mutual friend's memorial service. And she is quite picky about quality! The Evanston location is a little tricky to find, but it's well worth a trip. For me, it's easiest to go north on Green Bay Road and turn west on Payne (the next street after the light at Emerson.) Very highly recommeded!

Service is a -1. Took 40 mins for my food to get to me. I watched other people get their food before me, which I order way before them. I didn't know Mac and cheese and a pulled pork sandwich too so long. Maybe it was because my food was given to woman w crop tops and short, shorts hanging all over the counter. Do better! Service sucked!!!

I went to Soul & Smoke today for lunch. It was my first time at the TimeOut Market. I decided to try the cajun shrimp and grits. I wasn't expecting them to be sweet. I'm not a fan of sweet shrimp and grits. The taste wasn't bad but when I think cajun, I think spicy with a little kick. The shrimp in the grits were delicious.

Went to the Chicago location with friends and had the rib tips. The Tips and Sauce were delicious. My friends had other dishes, and loved it. Will go back. The staff was nice and accommodating.

Chose this restaurant because it was the only one in TO, I’d not patronize. And…possibly the best grits I’ve ever had! Sweet grits, savory sausage and spicy Cajun shrimp. Could not have asked for more!
