Very delicious food & drinks. The chicken was tender and the potatoes were crispy and very delicious. The cheese board was also delicious but would have been better if the almomds were mashed to easily spread onto the sourdough bread. I would definitely recommend bringing your bestie, family and a date. It’s pricey but we’ll worth it. Great atmosphere.

Wonderful experience at Wood last night! If you are looking to spend a relaxed evening with elevated New-American fare, this is the option for you. I would not recommend if you are in a rush and trying to get in-and-out.
Our server Mark was just the right amount of attentive and the atmosphere on the patio l was wonderful. He prefaced by saying their kitchen is short-staffed so it would be easiest to order everything at once and it might take a bit longer for things to come out. I really appreciated how they were up front about this!
My sister asked for them to surprise her with a mocktail and she loved what they delivered. The gazpacho was delicious and had a kick at the end. The mozzarella toast was yummy. The charcuterie board was a fantastic portion for the price and also delicious.
If you have the time to enjoy the evening, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Every time I come here I taste something utterly AMAZING. This time it was the shrimp in this pasta and the escargot. I want to describe exactly how amazing it was but the dishes change pretty frequently and everything is absolutely delicious. All the flavors of every dish compliment each other so well and just bring a sense of nostalgia with every bite. I make sure to come to Wood every time I'm back in town so anxiously waiting until my next visit!

The place is spacious, looks ok. We wanted to sit outside, but it was raining, so we had to sit inside. We were a big group. Two of us ordered chicken, but the waiter came later to tell us they have just one chicken portion. I had to change my order and wasn’t very happy about it, since the chicken was the only thing that I liked from the menu. Luckily, the flat bread that I changed my order to was very, very good! Caloric but tasty, mmmm ????.

The burger was delicious. However, I ended up standing the whole time. There were three of us and allegedly all the empty tables outside and the empty booths inside were reserved. We ate and left and the tables were still empty and no one could offer and bar stool.

The food was fine - good, even. But when we got to the end of the meal we just couldn't see how the prices were justified for the quality and quantity of what we had ordered. The drinks taste good but were light on alcoholic content. The asparagus dish was, I believe, $12 and came with only 3 sprigs of asparagus. If you want fine dining you can visit absurdly good, Michelin starred restaurants in Chicago for around the same price, and if you want good American food in fair portions you can get it much more appropriately priced from places like Gather or the Duck Inn.

Came with a group of friends for Sunday brunch and I am glad we had reservations because there was a party going on. We started the meal off with a carafe of mimosa and it was the perfect size for our group. For the table, we also got the beignets and buttermilk biscuit. The beignets were more like donut holes; they weren't fried and fluffy like what beignets are supposed to be like. They were actually quite dense and tasted like cake. The buttermilk biscuit was pretty good; I liked the sides that it came with. All of our entrees came at a good pace. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. I would recommend Wood to anyone who is in the area.

Overall it was okay, but there were a few things that were disappointing. The service was really nice and attentive. In terms of food, the cheese board was okay, but lacking in quantity and quality, and so it definitely overpriced for what you get. I had the porcini radiatore, and although it was pretty tasty, it was way too salty.

I wish I took photos of the place - luxurious red booths, darklit romantic atmosphere, and a beautiful bar with sparkling light fixtures. The vibe was right, but sadly, the service was slightly snooty. The staff wasn't too welcoming and acted annoyed when we called ahead to say we were running late because of traffic. Once we got our drinks we wanted to order one appetizer and then get a feeling for what we'd want to eat after, but the server insisted we order everything we would want for the meal, forcing us to be a little frantic with our ordering :/ kinda weird.
The jigglypuff's revenge cocktail was the perfect amount of sweet, we ordered a second round! We started with the steak tartare, excellent flavor!! Next we got the cheese board, loved the jam and cheese combo, just wish there was more cheese! The mushroom and onion flatbread was so dreamy, and the steak and brisket dish was so solid, the steak was cooked to perfection and everything came together beautifully, a great large plate to split for 2! Overall the two of us split 3 small plates and one large late, along with drinks, and we were full to the brim! However the bill was ~$80 per person.
I think each dish was soooo solid and worth the money for a special night out. However the service had me questioning whether the price was worth the dining experience. Having that said, I appreciate a restaurant that had solid dishes throughout and the luxurious atmosphere has me wanting to come
back forsure!

The food was so good! Love the darker atmosphere inside too. Very quiet and intimate setting. Great place to go for a first date or night out with friends.

Good brunch food and brunch cocktails. Service was good. They warned us the kitchen was slow, which it was, but we weren’t in a hurry and they did give us heads up in advance. This place worked great while staying near Wrigley.
