Their shrimp was chalky and mushy, which means they aren’t fresh and didn’t have the heads removed soon after they died or they’re simply freezer burned. I’ve worked in a few Chinese restaurants and seafood restaurants and haven’t had this experience at any establishment I’ve worked. I’ve only experienced this when caregiving for my mother who had Alzheimer’s because she wouldn’t store food properly. I would be cautious about ordering seafood here.
The garlic chicken was good.

We really like this place. Their lunch special menu is very affordable. It comes with main menu, rice and soup. People who work here are very nice too.

Really hits everything I was looking for in a chinese-american restaurant. Clean, flavorful and hearty portions. Will be our go-to spot for take out!
We ordered BBQ pork lo mein, black bean chicken, egg drop soup, and hot and sour soup.

The absolute best. I moved away to San Francisco and dreamed of Youngs home style tofu every day. When I moved back to Chicago it was my first meal home. Could not recommend more highly.

Young's is a very nice spot for lunch or dinner. They are open for dining in but will always be a busy take out place. Food is always dependable, priced right and most importantly so fresh and tasty. Hunan vegetables is a favorite.

Americanized Chinese restaurant serving tasty meals quickly! I would not say it is fancy, but foods here are reasonably priced and portions are huge. We love going here after a long, tiring day of work since the service is fast and we live pretty close by.

I've lived in a lot of places, and tried a lot of American Chinese food, but this has to rank right up there in terms of this traditional fare. I always feel as though I'm getting very good value for money, as the portions are very large, and the quality of the ingredients is top notch. I've never eaten in, and while the dining room is rarely full, don't let that, or the discrete location on a busy street, fool you -- they do an incredible amount of delivery and take-out business. The staff there have always been very friendly, and consistently thank me for my patronage. You can tell that they care about being a key part of the neighborhood, and I've never come across anyone who has anything but glowing opinions of their quality, prices and service.

We have had a lot of Chinese food in our time. In Sydney, we were privileged to have great Chinese food everywhere. Young’s was what we ordered on our first night in Chicago and we are in love. Such great traditional and western dishes, always done with a smile. Order via their website, as I think they get a greater cut and deserve every cent.

Young's is the freshest brightest most wonderful Chinese food I've ever had in my life. Although dining is still closed the inside is immaculate and beautiful. Even if you're not located nearby I highly suggest driving across the entire city to go to this place. I've never tasted black mushroom and green pepper that was so well presented. Fresh bright green beautifully cooked broccoli. first time ever eating there today and I will never eat any other Chinese food ever!!!
