Haven't had much BBQ in LA, but this sets the bar! Ribs were tender and tasty, brisket juicy and flavorful, and whole hog (pulled pork) a nice surprise. The sides (Texas chili and fries) were also solid; huge plus for the beer selection!

Perfect combination of great BBQ and fantastic craft beer taplist. Brisket and Korean burnt ends were delicious. Spot to go before Dodgers games.

Came here because of my friends recommended this place. This is a nice hangout spot. There was patio seating and I saw people brought their dog in.
We ordered a full tray of BBQ items: briskets, Korean BBQ pork belly cubes, BBQ ribs, and 2 sausage links, Mac and cheese, potato salad, and coleslaw. All the food seemed to have a lack of flavor, but the meat was tender, except for the Korean BBQ pork belly cubes. The Korean BBQ pork belly was rough. The meat would taste much better if they have some sort of smokey flavor.
I had Texas BBQ in the past, and my standard of BBQ seemed higher because of that. I would come back for drinks and hangout with my friends upon request, but probably will not eat here again.

Pretty good Texas barbecue. It won't be able to compete with Franklin's, Killen's, or Pinkerton's, but it comes pretty close. They beat the first two when it comes to sides, though. The mac n cheese and equites are legit. The brisket was so buttery and the pork ribs cooked just right (not fall off the bone like noobs like) but the burnt ends don't look nor taste like burnt ends. They seem like fatty pork belly. They're pretty tasty but a little too fatty. They also have a decent beer selection in the bar. The staff was more curt than courteous.

I’ve had Franklin’s BBQ and Snow’s BBQ in Texas. I can say on a good day, Moo’s surpasses both of the shops I mentioned easily and on a normal day, it is very comparable. The meat is so perfectly seasoned and smoked that you don’t even need to add any BBQ sauce to it. It is that good.
With that said, Moo’s is perhaps the best BBQ I’ve had in America. I rarely give a restaurant is 10/10, but this is 10/10 even with the more expensive price tag.
Thanks for the feast <3

Awesome BBQ joint with a great beer selection. The bark and smoke ring on the brisket were killer and the flavor was wonderful. Really loved the jalapeño cheddar sausage and the red potato salad. Lots of beers from the LA area to wash it down. Sat at the bar and chatted with the really friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. Looking forward to the next visit.

Four stars is relative to BBQ in Texas. Google Maps is a global rating system and Moos claims it is Texas style so comparing to other Texas BBQ places is fair.
All the meats are slightly lower in quality than Franklin's BBQ in Austin, Texas. The brisket is not as tender and is drier. Pulled pork and Pork ribs lack the strong flavor of BBQ from Franklin's. The same can be said about the bread pudding compared to the desserts served at Franklin's. Moo's has better sides than Franklin's though.
That being said, the BBQ at Moo's is great and better than most BBQ you would find in California. If you can't go to Franklins in Austin, Texas(most people looking for a BBQ place in LA obviously cant at least the same day), Moos is a great option.

I was introduced to Moo’s Craft Barbecue at a Tailgate event at the LA Coliseum yesterday. Thank you Yeti for introducing me to Moo’s Craft Barbecue! I had the Brisket and 2 different flavors of their sausages. The Brisket was just incredible. The BEST I’ve ever had!!! The sausages were both fantastic, juicy and flavorful! I highly recommend Moo’s Craft Barbecue. If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s worth the trip! I can’t wait to take my family their for a meal when they are in town. It’s a 40 mile drive from my home, but I know it will be worth it. Keep up the great work Andrew and your Moo’s Crew!

Somebody in that kitchen really knows meats, how to cook them and how to make barbecue sauce.
Tender and juicy pork ribs, tender juicy and falling apart brisket slices and that sauce! You'll enjoy every single bite, it's hard to stop eating no matter how messy it gets.
All this culinary perfection in unassuming surroundings comes at a price and it's worth every dollar.

Pretty pretty good. The brisket is crazy tender with plenty of flavor although I really like the Orangish sauce that comes with. North Carolina maybe. The ribs are solid as is the potato salad and elote. Beans are slightly watery and spicy. This place is definitely helping LA out of it's reputation as a bad place for bbq.
