A gem in the rough, Barish has some of the most delicious steak I’ve ever had. Beautiful atmosphere in a hotel with so much history.

Special thank you to our waiter John; he’s extremely skilled, polite, and professional.

When my friend suggested I take my vegetarian wife to The Barish for her birthday, I was not sure if a steakhouse was the right move. But I'm so glad I took her advice!

Highlights were the pizza fritta and the rigatoni (I'm not normally a goat cheese fan, but it's not very goat-cheese-y - order this!). Bone marrow on cabbage? Yes please!

Great service, fun jazzy vibes, and very inventive unique dishes. I will absolutely be coming back here to try the steak soon!

Another delicious Nancy Silverton restaurant located on the first floor of the Roosevelt Hotel. I don’t usually like to come over to Hollywood for dinner due to how busy it gets, but for the right restaurant I will and this place certainly counts as that. I’m already a fan of chef Nancy’s other restaurant Osteria Mozza in Fairfax so I was excited to try this one. It has a great design on the inside with a really swanky bar. Our server Kristen was also very polite, attentive, and did a great job. Since it’s in a hotel they add an 18% surcharge to all bills so tip is already factored into the total.

We started off with a Parker House Roll which is something I always order if available and it was delicious. For the starters we chose the Dutch Baby Prosciutto which was a great combination of prosciutto and a Dutch Baby pancake. I have had both of those separate many times but never together. For my main starter I chose the Steak Tartare and it came deconstructed so it was new for me to actually compose it myself. The leaves for wrapping the steak was a bit odd and not my preference but I still ate them with half of it. For my entrée I chose the Rigatoni and even though the plate was pretty small in size it was substantial in flavor and more filling than it looked. The squash filling was deep in flavor and delicious. The only downside I would say is we were not drinking tonight so we chose to drink iced tea and were charged four dollars every refill which I think is a bit ridiculous for iced tea and more expensive than other restaurants on the same street. I don’t think it’s fair to charge that much for non alcoholic drinks, especially when I know how cheap it is for the restaurant to have tea as an option,

Aside from the overpriced drinks it was a delicious meal in a really enjoyable location. Parking can be tricky in the area but I was actually able to find street parking for a 7PM Saturday dinner a block away. Otherwise you’re going to spend around $20 for parking, but hey that’s Hollywood.

Lovely dinner in the hands of excellent service. The good was absolutely delicious and our server guided us through the meal perfectly. Not to much or too little and the pace was just right. It almost felt like a preCOVID experience, pure pleasure without all the worry.

We were staying at the Hollywood Roosevelt and decided to give this steakhouse a try. Service was fantastic! Without a reservation, the seating hostess was able to seat us at the bar.

Drinks and food were amazing. Would love to visit again when we're back at Hollywood Roosevelt.

Food was amazing, and the drinks and rolls were to die for. It was decorated beautifully, and the service was fantastic. They checked up on us multiple times, explained the dishes, and were patient with our questions about the food. It was so nice, and next time I see a play I will definitely come here before.

Excellent food well worth the expense. I'd come back just for the farmhouse rolls, smoked beets and creamed mustard greens alone! My family and I truly enjoyed our meal.
