A wonderful experience. Down to earth Puertorican, Cuban and Dominican

Update 6/22:
Not sure what happened. Prices went up, which isn't too much of a big deal, inflation has hit everyone. But to pair it with the food quality going down, not a fan.
I ordered my usual and it came out to ~$13 more than usual, but the meat portion was bigger than before. I still prefer the way they had it before.
Not sure if they changed cooks or what, but my ropa vieja came super watery and the taste was off. It tasted more like beef stew. And the arroz moro/congri was so moist that I had to throw it on a pan and fry it before eating it.
Had the prices gone up and the food quality stayed the same, I would've kept the 5 stars. But you can't have the price increase plus the quality go down.
It won't be my last time trying it tho. They were consistently good for a long time. I will try again and hope that they haven't transitioned to consistently not good. I'll update my rating at that time.
3/22:
Place has great food. Workers are always nice. My go to place the days that they have ropa vieja. Pastelon and ensalada de papa are also good. Def recommend you go.

Went here after my graduation after my reservation at another place got canceled. So glad I came here instead. Service was amazing and food was wonderful. Fantastic prices, especially for the area. They were able to seat my party of 8 comfortably.

OMG tastes like mom cooked the meals. The tipico plate is great. Tamales en Oja and Pernil are so good. You need to visit and feel like you are on the island.

Authentic Puerto Rican food. Great flavor and generous portions. Service is great. Evelyn, my server, was an absolute doll. The 2 other members of the staff whom I interact with were also lovely. I also would like to add that the bathroom was spotless which is super important to me. I will definitely come back here and tell my friends about it.

The food is good but the prices have gone up considerably. The waitress was cordial and attentive. I ordered the grilled chicken breast but side dishes were not included. I had to pay for the arroz con gandules (rice & beans) and the fried plantains. $20 total for 1 person (tip included) I’ll be back again when I’m in the area and extremely hungry.

To be honest the overall taste of Cuban food is not really the type that I can enjoy the most, but still I want to give this restaurant 5 star for its amazing staff and great food quality! Green plantain and chicken (hearts?) is very special, worth a try! Skirt steak is classic flavor, and pork is full of meat savor. My favorite is the desert— tres leches! If you’re a milk lover, must must order!!!

+Nice atmosphere. Staff is friendly. Service was fast. Portions were HUGE and delicious. We couldn't finish what we ordered and had to take the leftovers. We tried the tostones rellenos de pernil, ensalada de guineitos con mollejas, congri rice, maduros, empanada de pollo, arroz con gandules, chicharrones de pollo. Price is fair. Clean place.
- The morcilla is not puertorican morcilla which my husband asked before ordering. The chicharrones de pollo are not actually chicharrones, they are mostly breaded chicken.

Ordered for pick up one rainy Monday around 3. Maybe they were super busy that day but even a pick up order took more than 30 minutes. We ordered:
Croquette - not memorable. I just remember it was pretty oily
Chicken empanada - pretty good. I would try some of their other empanadas
Chicken noodle soup - I really just wanted some soup since it was cold and rainy. The soup of the day ran out so I settled for this one, which was just a fancier version of Campbell's condensed chicken noodle soup. It was just as salty
Pernil sandwich - I really liked this sandwich; probably because of all the fatty chunks of pork. If you don't like fatty pork, this sammie ain't for you
Cuban sandwich - pretty solid cubano
Pork chunks - this said that it comes in sauce but it didn't. It did come with (some really oily) black beans and some rice that was nice and flavorful (but again, oily). The meat looked dry but it was surprisingly tender
Overall, all the food is pretty oily. With so many different Latin American cuisines/restaurants in the area, I'm not sure if I'd come back to this one (especially since it wasn't exactly a quick pick up).

This place is the real deal!! My 2nd time giving a 5 star review. This was 100% better than my first 5* review.
The food was AMAZING....Delicious, well seasoned, cooked perfectly; As was the service from Wendy, who was attentive, friendly and checked on us enough but gave us space to enjoy our food.
We started with Good-O Kola Champagne sodas & a delicious glass of parcha jugo aka Passionfruit juice. One sip of the jugo & I know I wanted a cup to go.
We started with empanada de carne, surrullos & was brought some complimentary toasted bread with some garlic butter.
Wanted 2 bowls of the daily special of Sancocho but unfortunately or is it fortunately, we had to choose something else. I'd ordered mofongo with masitas de cerdo (Mashed fried plantains with seasoned fried pork chunks) and a side of yuca con mojo. Since we had to choose something else instead of sancocho, my child chose rabo con gandules (oxtail with yellow rice & pigeon peas).
We wished we could have had room for dessert. So many more things to try. On my way out I had to tell the server And the owner how much we had enjoyed ourselves and how their food even impressed the chef in me
