Though it was three years ago since my group and I visited your fine restuarant I remember it like it was yesterday. The food was absolutely delicious. It was crowded because of our group making it difficult to find a seat. This was my first trip to New York and hopefully it won't be my last. I love your beautiful city.

The food is fresh and tasty and they weigh the food by the pound... food is warmed and you can help yourself and pick what you want...the prices are reasonable...unfortunately there isn't any dine-in because of covid.however, you can always enjoy your meal at home or outside on a bench

Came to here for the first time 2019 while I was in New York and came back this time as well. The food is so delicious, wish they had a place like this in Germany.

Our salmon was cooked with plastic in the food. When we called the restaurant they refused to reimburse us. We’ve been coming here for years , but the customer service and sanitary nature here is bad

Go check it out the food is real Dunn Brothers can cook brothers or sisters they can get down everything is fabulous peach cobbler banana pudding I mean you could keep going on you got it all enjoy yourself

Always My Go to spot for comfort Soul food, their selection of food is awesome. Classic soul food with a great mix of Caribbean and west African dishes. The salad bars is always fresh and appetizing. Also the have a great variety of desserts. Staff is always friendly and accommodating.

Someone bought the food for me. This used to be one of a few favorites, but for me personally, the food flavor and yummy has declined greatly. Such a waste, of my money. I believe in being honest, it's just my personal palate, but I know how deeeelicious the food USED TO TASTE, NOT ANYMORE .. SO I WILL BE COOKING MYSELF, I CAN THROW DOWN IN A KITCHEN.... BAKE TOO ..... BUT ANYWAY, JUST BRING BACK THE BANGIN YUMMY FOOD.... ????????????????????????????????????????

AWESOME FOOD WITH AWESOME PEOPLE!!
I had lived in my area for two years and always passed by the restaurant but never went in. I finally did and the food was awesome, the service was awesome, and I felt welcomed and at home. I strongly believe that they are the GODS/GODDESSES of soul food. I went twice in one week. The first time was to try each item on the menu, the second time was for some favorite items. I will be going tomorrow for more! I'm kind of mad that they are closed because I'm hungry now.

Jacob Restaurant has indoor seating but because of Covid it's strictly take-out. This soul food, buffet style, will have you coming back for more. Everything you could want is here and the food is delicious. From the short ribs to the oxtail to the fried chicken, on and on, it's authentic. The sides are scrumptious and the beauty of this place is you set your own price by how much food you put in your plate. I like to grab a quick lunch plate and sit in the park to eat. Oh and by the way, they have great desserts - my favorite is the banana pudding like grandma used to make.
