Customer service was ok. Grits
We’re very watery catfish was ok I think they should plate it separate. Ice tea was good. They can do so much better just from the catfish. I know they can.

I had to give 3 only because of the service, and the long wait. 20 minutes without so much as acknowledgement and when we did get acknowledged only one menu for two people and the fish I wanted was it being served and from what i hear the fish is an issue as dose as constantly not being available. Now if my review was based off of food alone it’s 5 stars hands down. I really wanted this spot to be good because it’s near me and black owned. I can see ordering again but I would be hesitant just because the service is just that bad. I hope the owner will consider addressing the quality of staff and time management because I really want to see this place turn around for the better. Maybe they need bar rescue to readjust things.

Food is good, but the service is TERRIBLE and not at all worth it. I placed an order online 2 days before I needed the food for a small get together. An hour before the food is supposed to be delivered, the order was canceled, and I had to place the order again. I was supposed to receive the order by 2:15 pm. At 2:12pm they called me to say they didn't have the fish I ordered, so I had to substitute for another. At 2:47 pm, they call me again to tell me they don't have the greens I wanted, and I had to make another substitution. I didn't mind the substitution, but why did it take over half an hour for you to realize there was another issue with my order? I didn't get my food until almost 4pm, and my get together started at 2. And after all of that, there were 8 items missing from my order when it was delivered. This is the 3rd time I've ordered from here, and each time there have been issues with missing items/extremely long wait times. I don't like writing negative reviews, but I strongly suggest staying away from this place.

I ordered a breakfast to go and I must say that I was pleasantly pleased with the woman who took my order over the phone, the service provided upon my arrival, and my delicious meal.
I had stopped patronizing this restaurant for multiple reasons. But, I'm happy that I came back. They are better than ever.

Such a massive disappointment. The food is incredible... when you can get it. I placed an order at 4pm for pickup, Seamless said it would be ready by 4:45. I got a notification that it was ready at 4:30. Went to pick it up and it was no where near ready. I waited until 5:20 (after being told at 4:55 that it would be ready in 10 minutes) then begged for an ETA. Then and only then was I told that they couldn't fill the order because they "only had wingettes". Since I had 2 hungry toddlers in the car I told them to cancel the order and I went home to scrounge up leftovers for my now screaming children. So sorry to say that this is not the first time I've experienced horrible takeout service at Southern Girls so I won't be taking another chance by ordering ever again.

Food was terrible. This place needs to be shut down and never open again. Literally nothing has flavor not even the catfish, hot sauce did it NO JUSTICE . The mac and cheese and yams are very bland. And the turkey wings with the gravy was very soggy & distasteful. Never again. This place should be called southern girls who cant cook. Please don’t waste your time or money!!!! I wouldn’t give this food to my dogs

So good! Ice tea was on point. The sides weren’t overly seasoned but they did compliment the meat. The turkey was well seasoned and the gravy is good too. Excellent service—sweet and patient lady.

Sadly to say my hopes was very high, with hearing good reviews from a close friend but was disappointed from the beginning, took almost 10 mins before anyone greeted me in the front. I ordered the fish special and upon opening my container of food the fish smell was overwhelming too fishy (was not edible), the shrimp batter was falling off/ wasn’t crispy, Mac n cheese tasted like pure butter and black pepper. The only thing that was good was ice tea. Maybe I caught this place on a bad day but overall wasn’t impressed at all.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere inviting. Great service with true reviews of what to get depending on your palette. What really surprised me was they even had Kool-Aid as an option. First time ever and it was delicious.

Actually some of the worst mac and cheese and fried chicken i’ve ever had. Chicken was bland and soggy and the mac and cheese was greasy and covered in black pepper. On top of that, the rice was disgusting
