I always wanted to go here and it was my first time. I had the spicy chicken buttermilk biscuit (with added bacon and cheese) and a sweet iced tea. The biscuit sandwich was really good and the spicy chicken wasn’t too spicy at all and the chicken wasn’t dry (that’s good).The iced tea was good but nothing to blow your mind away. Their style of service was different from what I’m used to. On the table you’re seated at, there’s your table number and a QR code to get the menu. After you get the menu, you have to put in your order on your device AND pay and tip as well.

Quick service. Reasonable pricing. Good food but wish the portions were bigger. The seating could be better but glad I got to sit inside. The door could use some padding because people tend to throw it open when leaving and entering and it makes some really startling sounds.

My son found this place while looking for the best chicken & waffles on google a few months ago and had a good experience. I was lucky to get leftovers - a chicken strip and quarter waffle. Even cold it was yummy! Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago when he said he wanted to take me to Sweet Chick on my birthday weekend. How could I refuse - chicken & waffles with my son - heck yeah! We drove over from Kew Gardens and were fortunate to park right across the street. It did not seem busy so we sat upon arriving. There are no menus. You have to scan a QR code on the table and place your order. If you want a drink not on the bar menu you can ask the bartender and they will take care of it…even add it to your table bill. The place is casual and has a nice vibe. All was well until the food arrived. We both ordered chicken & waffles with different sauces and a few sides. My son, 15, enjoyed his meal which made me happy. I did the best I could not to show I was disappointed with the plate. The waffles were sitting around a bit - soft and crushed as if sitting in a pan. The chicken strips were twice fried, hard with the crunchy outside so tough I was afraid I was going to break a tooth. Needless to say it was not a pleasant “food” experience. I ate what I could. Even the sprouts were underdone. But the fries were on target and the workers friendly. I was amazed that the food was NOT made to order. I expected a hot freshly made waffle and tender tasty chicken. It was barely warm. I really hope your dining experience is better. Could have been an off day for them. Saturday is not a good day to be off point. It might be a while before I trek back into Astoria for a trip to this Sweet Chick location but I gave an extra star because I was happy just to be out and about with my son!

The 3 piece combo with brussels sprouts made for a nice lunch. The chicken was fried nicely with no excessive grease and the biscuits were moist and came with strawberry jam on the side. The brussel sprouts with sliced almonds were a fine compliment with entree.

I don’t know how to properly emphasize the deliciousness of Sweet Chick without resorting to hyperbole. Easily the best chicken and waffles I’ve had in NYC. Perfectly crispy chicken with phenomenal flavor, waffles so soft you’ll want to lay them out and take a nap on them, and an assortment of fantastic cocktails in case the chicken and waffles don’t loosen you up on their own. Come to think of it the portions are super filling too so you may actually want a nap afterward… maybe plan ahead.

My partner and I have been wanting to try this place out so we decided to go on a Saturday night and the food was really good! We figured there would be a wait to sit down but that wasn't the case at all we sat down at a table instantly which we loved! We both ordered the chicken and waffles and it was really good especially the chicken, superrr crispy! Definitely recommend giving this place a try if you haven't done so yet!

The loaded fries was kind of dry. The mac and cheese needed some more cheese and flavor. The drinks were okay. My friends loved their chicken and waffles tho, maybe that's what I should of ordered. But I do love the place and the vibe.

I AM a creature of habit, so when I find an establishment with good food, quality staff and an inviting environment, I stick to it. Sweet Chicks has provided this at each location I’ve visited. From Los Angeles to its origins, here in New York- I have yet to be disappointed with this restaurant!

Order the honey butter chicken biscuit, full chicken and waffles and mac and cheese with Ritz crumb topping. I think they put exactly 1 Ritz cracker as a topping (maybe less). The food was really good. Ordered a coke - the picture showed a can of coke. I got a cup of soda. Not the same thing. Also don't tip big. Your only interaction with any staff is the 5 seconds it takes to give you your food. You order on line, pay on line and you are expected to clean your own table. Yes there is a sign asking you to please do it. No one comes by asking if you need a refill or how the food is.

Come for the amazing chicken
Stay indoors because there are too many friendly rats running outside!
The food here is amazing and they have very unique cocktails. Great spot to take out food from or dine indoors. The outdoor seating is great but it's ruined by the amounts of screams coming from women who see rats running around due to the construction happening next door.
I don't want to ding them for this...it's New York but I took away a star for that. That being said, I'll be back for more chicken goodness!
