Very disappointed they definitely are not the same, save your money and go to Jacob’s on Lenox ave. They have way more food options and you get more for your money. I was charged 25 bucks for a small portion. When they first opened many years ago this was my go to not anymore. I will not be buying from this restaurant ever I’ll take my butt to Jacob’s from now on.

This was a waste of $18 .Went in to get the fish B special, the lady came quickly but the flooded floor in the back changed my mind. The buffet was plentiful, got home the 1 rib was blah (threw it out) roasted potatoes had no taste, mac and cheese was so so. Stuffed flounder ( mystery filling) Rice was good. Steamed vegetables tasted like hot pepper only. No wonder it's so dark in there. Never again!

This place 4 me was absolutely incredible. The food was excellent, the place itself clean and well organized and the staff personable. I can't say enough. My definite go 2 next time I'm in New York.

Buffet style restaurant that really shouldn't be. Very tight space for a buffet. If there are more than 5 -7 persons perusing the buffet it's going to be uncomfortable. Everything is close contact. My 3- star rating has more to do with the service I received from the "made to order" seafood section in the back of the restaurant. I was one of 4 persons in the place and I waited over thirty minutes for someone to come to the service window to assist me despite ringing the bell several times, despite seeing at least five guys behind the swinging doors who were standing around talking, despite the efforts of two other staff members who came from the front end to make them aware I was waiting. One of the staff advised it would be just a moment and 20 minutes later I was still waiting and he was standing in the back with the others discussing who knows what! Not only was my bell ringing dismissed, the staff behind the counter didn't even acknowledge that I was there. Two of the guys looked at me and proceeded to act like I wasn't standing there. They just kept working and others kept chatting away. Had I not traveled from Mount Vernon to Harlem, and not been hungry and pressed to get food home for my family, I would have walked out. The spot I normally frequent was several blocks away and I had groceries otherwise I would have walked out. The only saving grace for this place and why I didn't rate lower was the cook who eventually assisted me. He was pleasant, apologetic and made up my order as quickly as possible considering it was made to order steamed fish and vegetables. The food was delicious and if there's an option of ordering by phone, that will be the ONLY way they get my business again. Customer service should be the priority.

The food use to taste better years ago. I haven't ate here in over 10 years and I was disappointed with the macaroni & cheese and the devil eggs.There were clogs of cheese in the mac&cheese. The devil eggs were missing the ( mustard or/and vinegar) and a few things I had were missing the right ( soul food ) ingredients ! They have a great variety of food(s). They are clean; the lemonade, half&half, and the pink lemonade taste GREAT! (Update 7/6/22) The owners(family business) are super friendly, professional and polite! Now as for the food.... The devil eggs were horrible again; also the potato salad. Jerk chicken was a (5.0) and the yams were too sweet (swimming in syrup)but overall... The food is great and the establishment is clean & organized.

A variety of prepared food selection. The menu includes freshly prepared vegetables.. the stores clean the environment is clean and staff are friendly and ready to help you can also dine in and have your food to take out any container. The menu also includes desserts and cold refreshing drinks to take with you while you're on the go. I'll be glad to shop there again . The food is tasty in the beverages are nice if you're in the area I think you should stop by you'd enjoy yourself a quick hot meal.

I got my hair braided across the street and I happened to notice this place. Since I live in upstate New York it’s not often you can get soul food on demand. Everything was visually appealing so I filled up my container with a sampler of various items. OMG was it good!!! I was trying to figure out how they can mass produce this food and have it taste sooooooooo good. I will definitely be back!!!

This was my first visit to this restaurant and I must say the food was really tasty, I enjoyed every morsel. The fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, candied sweet potatoes were delicious. I'm definitely going back because the price was reasonable for the amount of food that I had. I recommend this restaurant. Absolutely delicious ????

This place is awesome. Food was great for a buffet style place. Have to wear gloves which I appreciate. I definitely got my more food than I intended. Lol

I came all the way from New Jersey and I never been to Harlem and I tell u this food or should I say soul food is tremendous. Keep it up manna. Ok
