The food is a bit too sugary for me. The chicken is coated in sugar, the shrimps are coated a sugary glaze and the veggies tempura was ok. All food doesn't need 25 tablespoons of sugar to taste good. On the positive note our sever Nelson was quite pleasant and humble guy.

Our plans to visit Dallas BBQ were always put off by permanent queues on the 42nd Street branch, so it was a thrill to spot the no queue Chelsea branch. The staff were welcoming and the pina colada excellent, but the terrible meal brought down the overall score! I had BBQ chicken (very dry) and Baby back ribs (half were fresh and succulent and the other half like dry jerky in sauce…inedible. What a disappointment!

Margaritas are good with shots, but the food looks precooked. It's just like they heat it up and serve it. The French fries are cold. The steak was chewy. The servers are friendly and helpful.

The three stars are solely for the excellent service and cheerful waitress called Jenny. She was super amazing!
The food is horrible- it was dry and flavorless and wasn’t fresh at all. The ribs were so dry. We couldn’t finish our food. Had to look for somewhere else to eat after we left this place.
The drinks were amazing for an extremely hot day.
The manager of this restaurant decided he was going to interrupt the ambience while he m verbally confronted a customer. How unprofessional.
They’re located in such a prime area it’s a pity they won’t step up their food quality!

I haven't been to BBQS in years. Use to be a meet up staple back in the days with friends, before we hit up our nightly destination. Everything was good, the guacamole and shrimp was very fresh and delicious.
The roast beef was a tad dry, however the flavor was tasty and the portion size was huge. Saved it and ate it for lunch at work. My friend said the chicken and waffle was good and you can't go wrong with the drinks (Texas size).
Now, they have a bigger size than TEXAS!
We had a good time, service was friendly and will definitely come back.

Honestly very good food. They are always busy and the service was nice! We ordered different drinks and they all were really tasty very good!! The food we got was sticky ribs & wings. Mac n cheese brisket& pork sandwich. All very good no one was disappointed

Functional. Nothing fancy, nothing special, nothing outstanding. Good to see they can still customize your order (I.e. no sauce on ribs/on the side). BBQ sauce: average. Cornbread: average. White meat chicken: dry as expected. Baby back ribs: okay (not fall off the bone though) Texas sized drinks: not a wow factor. Note: they add an automatic gratuity charge on your bill. Environment: grungy.

A chill no frill BBQ joint where the food is delicious and the service is good.
Very simple interiors, perfect for an after work gathering or time out with friends.
Ordered the half baby back ribs rack with BBQ sauce along with fries and corn bread. And the brisket sandwich.
The BBQ sauce is outstanding, the right blend of sweetness and spice. The ribs rack was pretty much grilled to perfection, the bones had gone tender.
The drinks are nothing outstanding. The cocktails tend to be very much on the sugary side and the wines mostly come in small bottles.
Overall a simple fun place to just take your time and enjoy BBQ food, the staff is no hurry to get you out.

Great inexpensive spot without feeling cheap! This place has yummy food, nice staff, and an all around great experience. If I lived here, this would be a regular spot for me. Drinks are a little pricey but the food is so inexpensive for the portions you get. Highly recommend! I had the chili with Doritos and a Gin Martini that was incredible.
