I wanted to like this place! With its down-home friendly atmosphere, made from scratch brunch menu items, and real maple syrup, I was sold before the first bite.
Unfortunately, there is room for improvement. The bacon is really thick cut, so ordering it "crisp" produces something with the consistency of shoe leather. Also, while the waffles looked scrumptious, they were a little too thick and dense. There's more to making a really good waffle than just pouring pancake batter into a waffle iron.
The food was definitely "good enough to eat", but with a little work, it could be even better.

Had a wonderful breakfast here! No problem finding parking, because we took the subway. Had a wonderful conversation with the people at the next table and had the pancakes with the strawberry butter! Would eat there again.

This diner is easily on my top 10 dining experiences ever. My wife and I came here on a glorious Sunday morning for brunch. The experience was excellent. We probably had the top favorites of the restaurant: banana and walnut pancake and the French toast. The special element in both these dishes was the strawberry butter which I understand is home made. This butter carries out an extra ordinary transformation of the pancake and french toast. Looking forward to many more dining experiences here. A special mention to Laura, who served us with a smile.

You will definitely have to drive around, and look for parking. Not a bad spot for brunch. The staff is friendly, but not that attentive. I tried the Bacon Waffle. I could barely taste the bacon. If you ever do decide to order this dish, make sure you ask for an extra side of bacon. You have a few choices of Mimosas to choose from. I got the Crush Mimosa. I barely taste the Mango. It just tasted like Prosecco, with a Grenadine for the color. Nothing special about this drink. The Maple Bourbon Smash drink came with bacon on top. That was the highlight of the brunch. That was very good.

Loved this place… we had such a great brunch back this summer. Boyfriend is from New Hampshire and his family does sugaring every year - we loved that they put real maple syrup on the table :)

Amazing breakfast, with generous portions and reasonable prices. My wife and I, along with 2 friends, had brunch here and we really enjoyed our food. My wife and I split seasonal fruit pancakes (blueberry) and an omelette and both were fantastic. I highly recommend stopping by for breakfast or brunch!

Good food. I liked the decorations. Very cozy and welcoming. But, The servers could check a little better on the tables instead of us chasing them with our eyes and raising our hands to be seeing and call them. It’s nice they enjoy working together and joke around but they can’t forget looking every now and then to the tables.

A regular brunch place I frequent during Saturday that entails staying uptown or no plans whatsoever. My dining partner and I usually order the same dishes and it has been consistently delicious. Our go to is the stacked pancakes (sweet) and corned beef hash with eggs (savory). The stacked pancakes are made with a mix of flour and cornmeal. The strawberry butter spread and topped with Vermont syrup makes the pancake stacks undeniably delicious! It has actually inspired us to look for a cornmeal pancake recipe and we have replicated this dish, but as strawberry pancakes. The strawberry butter is still something we need to attempt to make. The corned beef hash is definitely homemade, filled with chunks of thick meat. My dining partner would also order the lumberjack because of the thick cut bacon. The bacon has an even amount of meat and fat, with the sweetness and savory taste to it. I have only dined here during brunch time, weekdays and weekends. The place does get packed during popular times, which we try to avoid dining in those times. Since outdoor dining has become a thing, their square footage has increased, accommodating more diners. The cup of brewed coffee is delicious and with free refills. There is a trend in NYC restaurants that do not offer compliments of refills and you can amplify your jitters with a cup or three in this restaurant ! The service is attentive and can get European when they are busy, but the atmosphere is inviting to chat with your dining partner as you wait for your meal.

So. Damn. Good. So. Damn. Consistent.
This is where you can reliably get QUALITY breakfast all day, any day. By far the best pancakes I’ve had in the city. Thick bacon. Fresh eggs. Strawberry butter. And they don’t cheap out on the *real* maple syrup or make you order more micro-sized pitchers. Skip the diner, and come here. I forgot to take a pic when the plate first landed, but this still gives the vibe. Not cheap, not expensive, but good VALUE. Also has a great selection of fresh in-house baked items. Don’t miss it.
