1. Service is exceptional.
2. The pork chop was DRY!
3. The soup was really good.
4. The tilapia had a good flavor.
It is a 50/50 in our books. For the price, we were expecting to be “wowed” but were not.

The food was absolutely delicious at Hourglass Bistro! We ordered the bone marrow, see bass, and short ribs. Also Manny makes the best cocktail. Definitely go check it out.

From the moment we approached the restaurant we were greeted warmly and invited in. We had reservations for pre-show dining but it wasn't necessary. We ordered off the entire menu. The food was great, the ambiance wonderful, the service perfect.
We highly recommend this place.

The hostess was very friendly and kind. The food was also amazing. I had the spinach ravioli, and it was incredible and better than I expected (photo attached). The ambiance was also really nice and calm. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.
One moment that was a little unsettling was that when an employee brought us our bread, the butter fell on the ground (in a plastic butter container) and he picked it up and put it back with our bread. However, the hostess was standing right there and sent it back for us to get fresh bread. So I am hopeful that this is not a normal occurrence.

This restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way! The service was impressive, someone seated us, another next to her had bread ready for us as we sat, another behind them had multiple bottles of water ready for us as soon as the other had set the bread down. The charcuterie board had meats, cheeses, pita bread, grapes, olives, and jam - I considered it large given the price, the cocktails and wine were perfect and well-priced, and the service continued to be fantastic throughout. They had several specials on top of a full menu available, and the specials were incredible, super large with sides as well and very well-priced!! It was delicious and impossible to beat the service, I'd recommend this place to anyone visiting NYC.

We ordered pasta and the pasta itself was fine, but the meat was not good at all. The shrimps were okay.
The service was inattentive, could definitely work on that!
We also had cocktails, which were simply okay, but we would not recommend them.
Prices are not too expensive.

We stopped here for some quick dinner for a show, and it was lovely. The chicken Alfredo was real, fresh and delicious. The salad was the same. Even the giant roll was like that. I would definitely come here again to see if all the menu items match this theme. Plus the service and atmosphere were great. A great place to eat!

My husband and I ate here the night we went to see Plaza Suite. I was also running the NYC 1/2 Marathon the next morning. We came across this restaurant by accident back in 2016. We had to come back! The staff, the atmosphere and food are amazing! The grilled chicken was delicious!! We will be coming back when we are back in town. Thank you thank you!

The hourglass bistro was phenomenal. I had the Spinach Ravioli and the sauce was exceptional. Their dirty martini was delicious as well. The older couple, who I assumed to be the owners, were so welcoming and the ambiance was great. The older gentleman even took my jacket for me, laid it across an extra chair and said “Like home.” Service was a tad slow but food that good is worth the wait, and their outdoor dining area made it pleasant regardless.

OMG where to begin!!!?! We’ve been coming here for a few years until COVID hit so after a long hiatus we were excited to visit the Hourglass once again. First, it’s changed owners since COVID and thank god because the last owner was very unpleasant to deal with. Stephanie has now bought the restaurant and I can’t even begin to describe how amazing she is - funny, welcoming, engaging, smart, and on top of everything. She clearly enjoys what she does and it really shows, I can’t think of a better dining experience I’ve had in…. Almost ever, honestly. And her story of what eventually brought her to this point in her life is nothing short of inspirational.
The food… amazing. It was good before but there’s a certain amount of new life that’s been breathed into everything. When one item I wanted wasn’t available, Stephanie was quick to improvise on the spot to deliver a delicious alternative, never wavering from her sense of humor and positive attitude throughout.
There isn’t a restaurant in the city I’d recommend more highly than this one and I really hope you get the pleasure of meeting Stephanie while you’re there, you won’t be disappointed in your visit!!
