Wow. This place has some of the best falafel and shakshuka I’ve had!
I highly suggest going for brunch on a weekend as they have some options that come with a combination of several things.
We got one of their brunch shakshukas (2 eggs in a tomato sauce) as well as a side order of babaganoush (eggplant dip) and falafel (fried chickpea balls).
The main dish came with sides of salad, hummus, pita, roasted potatoes, orange juice, and your choice of coffee or tea. It is a great value for what you get.
The hummus is excellent - so smooth and lightly seasoned so you can enjoy the freshness of the ingredients. Paired with pillowy-soft pita, it’s an excellent side.
The salad is good - nothing too special about it.
Roasted potatoes are good - nothing special about this either.
Shakshuka is amazing. The eggs are served over easy, and a generous amount of piping hot and chunky tomato sauce are spread all around. I highly suggest cutting the eggs to let the egg yolk mix with the tomato sauce and cook a little with it. This dish doesn’t have too many spices as you are really supposed to enjoy the simple flavors of the eggs and tomatoes.
The falafel was excellent. Some of the best falafel I have had. So soft and moist on the inside and excellent flavors, including the little sauces they put on the plate itself.
The babaganoush was good. Nothing to mind blowing from other ones I’ve tried around the city. Personally I don’t think the quality of this that you get is worth the nine dollars that you pay.
In the end, this was an excellent restaurant to enjoy some really good food. I definitely recommended if you are in the area!

Absolutely delicious, Vegan options available, big portions, fast service.
Outside place had roof and windshield, heater but also fans. There was a restroom as well next to the kitchen.
Paid 20usd for the large plates (hummus plate, falafel plate).. received large portions, could not finish our plates although were super hungry.
Definetly recommend trying it out.

Accidentally, I found this place on my way from the American Museum of Natural History. I consider myself to be fond of Mediterranean cuisine since the beginning of the pandemic. I should admit that the hummus platter turned out to be quite large for one to deal with, but so amazingly delicious that I paused, only having finished the fourth flavor with mushrooms. I have never thought that someone would supercede the Presidio KEBAB in San Francisco in serving hummus. But the Hummus Place did. Baklava was very good, too, but, subjectively, could be softer.

Great experience! The food was what I was thinking expecting, delicious and not too heavy, especially for lunch. The staff was friendly and the food was made very fast. Best of all I spent less than $30 for a decent sized lunch for one person. Lastly, the restaurant is in a nice neighborhood and not too far from the Natural History Museum. It's an 11 minute walk but you'll get to see the beautiful neighborhood too.

Background: I generally never liked hummus and they actually forgot a dish, BUT THEY STILL GET 5 STARS!!! I should have taken a picture before but I started inhaling the food. They must have put some uncut crack in this because it was just amazing. We got the hummus platter, falafel sandwich and some sangria - none of it disappointed. Service was phenomenal and the place was very clean. I'm kind of glad they forgot the order because it just gives me ever more reason to go back. I can also now say I love falafel! Telling my friends about this cozy little spot as well ⭐️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sold hummus and related dishes. Spicing is lacking. Though added hot salsa is very good. Lentil soup was poor though the squash soup was great. Falafel was excellent and service was pleasant.

The food was delicious! We had hummus masabacha and a falafel sandwich. Both came with a side (soup, hummus, or green salad). It was great and fast attention.

Great Israeli restaurant! The shakshuka was very good and the hummus as well (although the hummus portion is a bit small).
