I grew up in NYC a few block from here and came back to visit after more than 10 years. I’d say it’s gotten even better. The vibe is great( great music at a talk-over-it volume), food still solid. Maybe it’s my lack of 24hr diners where I live, but I had a wonderful me date and will take myself out again when I come back.

Passed by so many times. Finally had the occasion to visit. Late at 10:45 PM but the menu was still completely full!
To be safe, ordered a simple breakfast platter. Note: when you add a meat, it jumps from $9.Xx to $13.xx!
I considered this for a moment but decided anything less than $15 is still a deal and pulled! Good choice!!
1. Food = excellent & plentiful!
I actually could NOT finish and took 1/2 home! The short fat pork sausages were
SO good!!
2. Quality = Delish!! And before I could ask for Hot sauce or Ketchip, it was already there in very clean stalls!
3. Great Ambiance!!
This was one of the best parts of my stay:
Ppl coming IN-OUT with interesting stories and just really LOVING LIFE!!
This place makes me cry for my family and life.. I’m literally feeling guilty for visiting alone!

Simple but delicious! A good amount of fries for a side. I love the bread choice for the BLT! The 7-grain type of bread with the little oats and seeds on the crust. I didn’t check the mayo box but it came with so little, it was no problem. Not pictured is the mashed potatoes I also had. The gravy was so good! It reminds me of a pot roast gravy. It was rich but not thick and gloopey.

I’m typically not a person to ever leave reviews, but this was truthfully the worst service my friend and I both have ever experienced in our entire lives. We loved the vibe when we walked in and were so excited to try this place; however, our server (John V on the receipt) completely ruined it for us. We were sat relatively quickly thanks to the diligent worker up front. My friend ordered a hot chocolate, and when he came back, he demanded that we order then even though I said I wasn’t ready, claiming that he would stand and wait until I was ready (which held true when we realized he wasn’t joking). We could tell he was definitely very annoyed with us, even though we had just gotten there and wanted to review the menu. After the food came out, he did not check on us the entire time even though we were out of water. He was very standoffish and made several off-putting remarks at this point, but we just brushed it off. When he brought the ticket, we noticed the hot chocolate was overpriced by $2.50 according to the menu, so we asked him to adjust it. He threw his arms up at us, rolled his eyes, and walked away. When he came back and once we had paid, we could tell he was extremely angry for someone unknown reason. He then proceeded to hover over us waiting for the tip. He stood there at the end of our table intensely staring at us while we put on our jackets/gloves/hats and promptly waited for us to leave the tip (which was extremely uncomfortable). I told him I was leaving a cash tip, and he stared back at me and didn’t budge nor say a word. We couldn’t even get out of the booth without coming within an inch of him. He didn’t even move when we were trying to leave, he just angrily stared at us (even though we still tipped 15% because of his intimidation). Given his intensity, we were too nervous to speak to a manager/store owner in fear of our safety from him.
Overall- this place has a really friendly vibe and pretty decent food too, but the server ruined the entire experience for us. It’s definitely a shame considering all of the other employees were working hard to keep the place clean and enjoyable.

This is a east side staple for a bite to eat after the club. I came to visit from Florida and was so happy that it was still open after all these years. The staff is still friendly and fast with services. The food was still perfect just as I remember it. I love this place and if you ever in NY stop by here you will not regret it.

I love diners and i have been to so many but this has to be my favorite now! Me and my younger sister came here really late at night after a long day and the customer service was so good! Everyone was so friendly and respectful. The food omg was so amazing and warm. We had pancakes at 12am and they were still so perfect and fresh . Love the atmosphere it’s quite calm. Seriously best Diner in Upper East side. Their apple cider was the perfect drink to end the night.

Excellent service, quick turn around, affordable and of course delicious food. They were accommodating of a group of 10 on a Sunday morning and our server didn't mess up a single order. Plenty of coffee refills, good food and a relaxed environment made for a great Sunday morning. Would certainly recommend!

I grew up in nj so i really love a good diner. This corner location has one of the better reputations and ive been waiting to go here for a bit to try it out. Probably not my favorite. Its got that nyc diner feel to it. Kinda rushed food. Tight fit. The goal is to make the food on the menu and turnover the table for the next person. I didnt try the pancakes but the waffles were better than the french toast, but tbh i cant see why id want to go here to order that waffle instead of making it at home. Maybe theres a different reason this place is popular - i live close by so ill likely try again and give it a fresh take next time.

Came in for breakfast, was seated fairly quickly. The food was really good and the service was great, we got our food really fast. I would recommend this place for a casual lunch, if you have a group they do have booths inside otherwise the tables are a bit small. But perfect for two.

If you ever in the mood for great service, and awesome food. I highly recommend this neighborhood gem!
Loved the food, friendly, laid back service. Grateful to dine in a very clean establishment that ensures the safety of staff, and guests by checking for proof of vaccinations, bottles of sanitizer are on each table. They have outdoor dining, and indoor dining, plenty of space to respectfully social distance, and enjoy your meal.
The food is cooked to order, the music, and ambience is great. My dining experience was so wonderful, I really did not want to leave.
If your not interested in breakfast. Definitely try their other entrees, the onion rings, and other dishes looked very tasty!
No one in my party had any complaints with the food or great service.
