Overall experience was a bit lacking but the food was pretty good. Fried chicken was a generous portion and really enjoyed the ramen, very original taste. Unfortunately, the restaurant was freezing it seemed like the heat wasn't working at all. And our server wasn't very knowledgeable. Didn't have a clue about any of the wines or sake but gave us tastings so we could try ourselves. Seemed like it was his first few shifts but did make an effort. Might visit again if I were in the neighborhood but many other places I'd prefer to try first.

Delicious food, friendly and knowledgeable staff. But what was supposed to be an anticipated dinner turned into a to go meal. We came in for our reservation at 8.40pm, ordered food, and all 5 dishes were brought out pretty much at the same time - not coursed out whatsoever. At 9.15pm they turned the lights on, lifted all the chairs up, and dropped the check. So we had to get everything wrapped up to go and leave. Their resy says they are open till 10pm. And a party of 2 gets 1h30m at the table. Our 8.30 reservation got 35 minutes - not too bad

Loved this spot! Amazing cuisine and fantastic service.
We went for a birthday dinner and split a ton of dishes. Everyone loved the food - especially the addicting cucumbers and mushroom friend rice. I also recommend the agadashi tofu (prepared vegetarian).
When the restaurant team sang happy birthday to our birthday girl, they played happy birthday on the speakers and the whole restaurant joined. It was awesome! Highly recommend for the food, ambience, and fabulous service.

Food was good - loved the croquette, signature fried chicken, mushroom garlic butter fried rice. Portions are small, on the pricier side. The place is cozy and very squished seating.

This izakaya is a tiny restaurant in East Village. Reminds me of typical London Asian places where one gets awesome food. I do digress. Excellent food. Fast and friendly service. We tried:
- Corn croquettes
- Shishotou peppers
- Grilled mackerel
- Signature chicken nanban.
The croquettes were gentle and delicious
The peppers were amazing.
The grilled mackerel was boneless, super flavourful, and just scrumptious.
The chicken was incredibly juicy, just wow. They use chicken thighs, they probably brine them; I am not certain how they actually cook it but it tastes amazing. I just wish they served their mayo-like sauce on the side because it is rather overwhelming for this dish. Highly recommend.

Every single dish we ordered was excellent, full of flavors. The venue is a little small so not good for big groups. Oh, and it’s tapas style which just means they can charge you more money for small plates. But if you can swallow the cost, the food is indeed tasty.

Small restaurants but everything I ordered was good. Their signature fried chicken was my favorite. Very tender chicken with the creamy sauce. The beef was also cooked very well.

Really tiny place but extremely accommodating. The dishes are tiny, but you’re meant to order plenty, drink some alcohol and have a great time. Everything was super fresh and tasty — the chicken nanban had a great sauce and was crispy. The salmon chunks were big, but fresh and delicious. The beef, i forgot which part of the cow it was, was extremely tender and flavorful. Highly recommend.

Food is great! Homey, small space. A bit pricey but there is a no tipping policy. Favorites are the nanban, addictive cabbage, and beef tongue. No happy hour though.
