This was our first time and Finally made it to this restaurant. The best thing that I had tonight were the wings! They were cooked to perfection. This place is a little pricey for what you get so spend with caution. There were four of us in our group and we all had something different and shared plated. I’ve had better shrimp and grits, but the catfish was good. My rating is a 4 because our expectations were too high and the food was fair.

I cannot say enough good stuff about this Harlem institution!! The staff was beyond happy, helpful & just fun to talk to. The vibe is extremely chill, the music was all 90s hip hop (totally my generation!) and the food is absolutely phenomenal!!! No matter what you order I highly suggest getting a few pieces of their a la carte fried chicken!! We went for my husband's birthday & the dessert was house-made donuts with the most delicious drizzles on top! We loved our experience & will definitely be back!!!

Above and beyond experience from start to finish. This restaurant does service exceptionally well. It provided me with the best food experience while visiting Harlem! The overall vibe was received as this restaurant was a beating heart within Harlem. This is the one place I would recommend as a must do when visiting. Charles, was so gracious and kind. His energy and presence elevated in the room. I'm so thankful to have meet his acquaintance. He is very passionate about the business and talented in his profession. I will forever be a loyal patron upon my return to Harlem.

A great restaurant in the heart of Harlem. If you are in New York take a quick trip up to Harlem. You will not be disappointed. All of the meals were prepared perfectly. Everyone's meals were seasoned and cooked just as each of us ordered. Our waitress was fabulous. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The entire staff created a very welcoming atmosphere.

1st time visiting the restaurant while on an anniversary trip to NYC. The food my husband and I had was amazing!!! The cat fish was delicious, the cornbread was amazing, the Bucatini Piccadilly was delicious. The service was great. Our waiter Joshua was great. The collard greens taste better than mine, my late grandmother and mother in law’s and all of us can make some banging greens!!! We ordered dessert to go back to MD with us. Will definitely go back on our next trip to New York.

Went for a Sunday dinner and ambiance was amazing. I got the opportunity to eat while the live jazz band was playing and they were awesome. I decided to try something new so I ordered the catfish and I am now a catfish fan to say the least! The food was well seasoned and tasted great! The service was great, didn’t have to wait to be seated and after being seated they came over to check on the table often! The crew was so nice and welcoming! 10/10 would recommend and will revisit!

Really amazing food, we had such a variety and seasoning and taste were always on point. I even had the devil's egg around afternoon, which I don't like eating eggs after 12 and they were amazing, so soft and just melt in your mouth. ALL the food was 10/10, the freshness of it 10/10, the flavor of it 10/10 the drinks even non-alcoholic ones were 10/10, the service was 10/10, the place itself is so unique, so much to look at and learn 10/10, the ambience 10/10 it's a great experience overall, great being short adjective to describe it.
The herbs they use on cocktails or non alcoholic beverages they grow right there, you can see them and everything is just so fresh.
So much more good things, great things to say about this place. HUGE variety of food, drinks and even nice tea and honey!
If you are in the area, even visiting is a spot you definitely have to go, I will even dare to say just separate a day to go there and enjoy!!!

My family and I enjoyed our evening at Red Rooster. Loved the ambience at this location. Lots of character and history throughout the restaurant. The live music set the mood for a perfect Sunday evening vibe in Harlem. The food was delicious and the drinks hit the spot. The menu offers a variety of flavors and textures that will touch very taste bud. The staff was great. Had the pleasure of meeting my favorite Food Network chef and entrepreneur Marcus Samuelsson. A night to remember for sure. 5 stars and some.

Wow!! First time here. What a amazing place. I had a 8 pm reservation for 3 only 2 of us able to make it. We got a table earlier than expected. The food was so so so good . Out of 100 The yard hot honey chicken 100. Mac and collard 150. The cornbread 100 piece got some taste like Granny.

We came here for lunch to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Every aspect of the experience was perfect! The vibe was great, the staff were incredible (and had very helpful tips!), the food was very flavourful & delicious, and they even surprised us with a strawberry dessert to celebrate my husband’s birthday.
We ordered the deviled eggs (delicious!), the chicken and waffles (SO tasty!), the cornbread, and the salmon bowl (SO good and packed with flavour!). And, the portion sizes were large, so you definitely won’t leave hungry.
We cannot wait to try this place again during our next NYC visit!
