El Molino is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Philly. The delicious homemade tortillas, attention to detail, and quality of ultra fresh ingredients, as well as the kind, hospitable owners, make this spot a unique gem worth visiting time and time again.
The shrimp tacos are among the best I’ve had and include large wild-caught shrimp, perfectly seared and seasoned. I’ve enjoyed the tinga tacos, chicken mole burrito, empanadas, and fajitas, too. The birria tacos are a terrific rendition. Most of the flavor is in the tender beef and cradled on those homemade tortillas, they just hit different.
Even “basic” chicken tacos are anything but. They’re not only flavorful, but they pack some heat. The menu isn’t huge and yet I always struggle to decide because everything is next level. Go here! You won’t be disappointed.

This place was amazing!! Everything was made fresh to order, including the guacamole (I hate guac that sits in the fridge). The tacos de birria were excellent, but most importantly the customer service was on point. Deseándoles mucho éxito!!

Very friendly staff. Everything is made to order and fresh, so allow some time. It is a byo. Very good food!!! The nachos are out of this world!!

This place is OUTSTANDING. It is authentic Mexican food that warmed my heart and made me miss home a lot! Their corn tortillas are delicious. You will want to order everything on the menu. 10/10
You can see that the owners cook from the heart. ♥️♥️ Best new discovery.

Every time we go here we try something new and it is better than the time before. Definitely the best Mexican food I’ve had in the USA and by far the best Mexican food in Philadelphia. This place is a hidden gem!

Just wow!!! Found this place on maps when visiting in the area. Had the guacamole, empanadas, shrimp and barbacoa tacos, and churos for desert.
It was absolutely delicious!!!! Everything!!! So fresh and flavorful, pretty, and quick. If I lived around here, this would be my local taco place.
Definitely go to El Molino's!

The best Mexican food I’ve had anywhere in the United state! We met the husband and wife who own and operate it and they are so friendly. Get the tacos de mole or the tacos de barbacoa… or the empanadas! Or anything honestly. We keep going back to try other things! Highly recommend this place, best Mexican food in Philadelphia for sure!
