I’m really bummed bc I wanted to love this place, and I never write bad reviews. It’s beautiful inside and a great looking menu. I ordered a small iced coffee with oat milk, and asked what cream cheese/bagel options they had, and decided on a bagel with scallion cream cheese. Was $12 something, I tipped to make it $14. Once I got my coffee it was black, so I asked for the oat milk and they said there would “be an up charge next time”. I can’t imagine I didn’t already pay for the oat milk? But whatever, she gave it to me. Then I took my bagel to go - and was plain cream cheese (not the scallion that I ordered / paid for). I’m just bummed that I paid $14 for average coffee and bagel / not what I asked for.

Place is very hit or miss. When I come in person it is ok, I get judgment for my order. But food comes out great. When I order online, they change the size of my drink to accommodate the extra shots I order even though I don’t want that. Or it comes cold when it is a hot day even though I always want my drink hot. Baristas kind of suck, kitchen is awesome, never an issue with food.

One Shot has great coffee / snacks and is always friendly.
But beware if you have dietary restrictions when ordering food. I ordered a vegan breakfast burrito today - only for it to be full of meat.
I hadn't had meat in 2 years so biting into a burrito and realizing I had just eaten meat was very upsetting.
When I called for a refund and heard that the order was entered correctly as "Vegan breakfast burrito" and just prepared incorrectly - I realized I do not want to risk getting food from here again.
(Blueberry Pie Chai Latte w/ oat milk absolutely slaps tho)

The place has a nice atmosphere and coffee/food is good. Only 3 stars because of how poorly the owners treat their staff. I know 4 people who had been employed there and they belittle and bully their employees. As an advocate for workers rights I have heard horror stories about the owners as well as witnessed some abhorrent treatment first hand.

One of the best local coffee spots in the area - every time I come here there are new specialty drinks to look forward to trying. The lox bagel here is also incredible, I wouldn't have expected coffee shop salmon to be that good but was pleasantly amazed.

Our favorite coffee shop! We loved the food, coffee and vibe. The Cali omelet and Nutella French toast were delicious. The baristas had a fun energy and great personality that got our day started off right! Will definitely visit again on our next trip to Fishtown.

Far and away my favorite coffee shop in the city. I live in Brewerytown and I drive past half a dozen coffee shops just to come here. Amazing food, amazing coffee (New Orleans cold brew is so good). Super friendly staff. Just, wow

Loved it! Great menu, interesting choices and combinations, and very good coffee (duh)! There are a few outdoor tables and plenty of seating upstairs. We really enjoyed the Oldies station and found ourselves singing along between bites and sips. Very popular pleasant place!

We love One Shot for a number of reasons, but I’ve decided that I think the breakfast burrito is the best one I’ve ever had. It’s hearty (and huge) without being heavy, and you can make it more indulgent with meat/cheese but it’s really excellent as is. To finish it off, the pico they provide on the side really completes the experience. Highly recommend.

Chill place to get coffee. The atmosphere was serene, and the coffee was very good.
I saw a few students sitting inside, so I guess it's a cool spot to study as well. We didn't have a grinder but wanted good quality coffee, so I purchased the local beans, and they were very understanding and grinded the beans for me! Still grateful they did it and we had good coffee during our stay in Philly.
