OMG I have been hearing about this place for over a year. I was told it was owned by the senior pastor of the Grace Baptist Church of Germantown. I never met him, however you don't find too many pastors owning a restaurant, however because of where I live and my work hoursI don't get over in that neighborhood. After leaving church yesterday I wanted some barbecue and this popped into mind so I took the 35 minute ride up Germantown avenue and went in. I ordered a rib platter with three sides baked macaroni and cheese, potato salad and string beans. The ribs are falling off the bone tender and I do mean falling off the bone tender they taste good without sauce you don't find that too often. Potato salad and string beans are just like my mama used to make them. I also treat myself to some peach cobbler, it too was delicious. The portions are definitely match the price.

Chicken was semi-dried out with the unpleasant taste of reheating. Fish was rubbery. BBQ sauce, beans, collards and potato salad were good.

I went here for the first time today and it was one of the best bbq I ever had! The cornbread was so delicious. It was so moist and yummy. The ribs were seasoned to perfection and falling off the bones. The collard greens were so tasty and the potatoes salad was fantastic. I wanted mac and cheese but they were sold out but please believe I will be a return customer and try that along with others. This place is a hidden gem with oh so scrumptious BBQ! If I had three thumbs I would give it that ????

Just got a full rack of ribs from here after a long Sunday walking around Wissahickon Park. Absolutely delicious! We even got 2 sides and now we are so full... and we still have another full half to go. What a hidden gem, worth the trip for any bbq lovers everything is cooked perfectly and you could even sit outside and enjoy the sun with a beer from Chestnut Hill Brewery

Hadn't been in this market in a while and found this place. Ordered the BBQ platter- reasonable price 5 ribs with 2 sides. The ribs were dry rubbed deliciousness. I opted for spicy sauce which was the perfect amount of flavor and heat. The collards greens were to die for!!! Melt in your mouth flavorful. Mac and cheese was good not too cheesy. Very friendly service too. Definitely will be back again and again!!

Went to the market today where I met James the owner. I ordered the brisket. James is a confident individual who believes in his product. He assured me it would be the best brisket I'd ever had!
Well.......it was! The bark was to die for with just the right amount of smoke taste. Absolutely no need for BBQ sauce.
I'm looking forward to my next visit. Bravo James!
