My favorite BBQ place closed so I dug up this one and it's a winner. I just did take-out but the manager (Saturday at Noon) was so friendly and professional and the food was excellent--St. Louis ribs done right. I had a 5 minute wait and the bartenderess offered me a soda. Place is cool and relaxed. I live in Center City but this was worth a short ride!

One of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had! I got take out and everything was a fresh as it would have been eating in the restaurant. I was only in the building for under 1 minute and EVERY worker was so kind and was a great environment to be in. We will definitely be back.

SOOO DELCIOUS!!!
My boyfriend and I are both vegetarian/pescatarian and have not had BBQ in many years. When our niece was visiting and asked to get ribs, we were stumped. In looking for a BBQ restaurant with options for us, we found The Lucky Well and are so glad we did. Not only was the food delicious, the service was outstanding!!! We have not stopped talking about our meal and have told so many friends about it.

The brisket is 10/10! House BBQ sauce is great too. I was born and raised in Texas and grew up eating BBQ and this place could contend with the best of the best in Texas. Very lovely atmosphere as well. Ohh and don't forget to try the slaw.

The restaurant itself is very nice. Great customer service! But I have to be honest about the food. We were a party of 10, so we were seated right next to the smoke filled kitchen. My eyes were burning from the strong smell of lighter fluid and heavy smoke every time the kitchen door opened. I ordered the ribs, shrimp, cornbread and coleslaw. The food was mediocre. Everything on my plate tasted like lighter fluid. It was a no for me!!!

We came in here on a whim and boy was it kismet. The food has been amazing and Jasmine (girl, I apologize if I’m misspelling) at the bar was perfection. Super sweet and the perfect degree of attentive. 10/10 experience. Would HIGHLY recommend.

I can’t recommend this place enough. Bold and complex flavors keep me coming back every week. BBQ sauce is tangy and unique, great picketed veg!

I’ve been meaning to get over here for a while now. I finally made it there last night and am glad we chose to eat here. I’m not going to lie. The phrase Totchos is what ultimately steered us here.

Who wouldn’t want loaded tots with BBQ cheese and other beautiful toppings? We started with them, and they were better than I had hoped.

We then made a combo of our own by ordering some ribs and pork shoulder. We had the brisket on the Totchos, so we covered the meats well. I wanted the wings, but they were out. This has been an ongoing theme lately as another BBQ joint I went to was also out. Oh boy, I’m glad they were 86’d as I was having a hard time with the price of $5 a wing. I was hoping they were the whole 3-segmented wing, but from other reviews online, they look to be either the drum or flats. They must be some wings.

Ribs were perfect, and the smoked pork shoulder was so tender. We ordered extra meats for lunch the next day, and that was a great decision.

We had the burger and chicken sandwich as our entrees. The whiskey onions and bacon on the burger were so flavorful. Great beef and another wonderful item. The chicken sandwich had a great crunch and was very moist. All in all a great spot.

I hope more people start showing up as it was quite empty on a Friday night. Thinking people are still being cautious about covid, but they checked our vaccine cards upon entry. Enjoy.

Beautiful, open interior with a big curving bar and booth corner seating. You can just see into the kitchen and prep area. Even as you walk up, the smell of wood burning and smoke seeps on to the street in front of the restaurant.
