Can't go wrong with Vernick Fish for a company dinner, nice happy hour or simple a nice night out with friends. Everything in the menu is delicious. Staff and service was excellent. Their menu rotates and changes so items in pictures may differ. I really love the Tuna Tagliatelle. If it's on the menu, 100% must try!

Excellent experience here celebrating my girlfriends 30th birthday with our friend. The two of them have dined here before, this was my first time which was an excellent experience. The food, drinks and service were impeccable. Highly recommend if you’re in center city for dinner, a special event or want to treat yourself/others! Thank you to the staff at Vernick. 10/10

Vernick Fish was definitely among the best eating experiences I’ve had in Philly, and that’s saying something since Philly is such a strong culinary town. I loved how the menu was so unabashedly seafood, and that translated into the quality of each dish.
We got the raw scallops, the sardine toast, sea bass, and branzino. Plus, we got a special that was unparalleled—a hamachi collar, which was our favorite. Everything was amazing, and clearly inspired by different cuisines.
The experience is also delightful — airy but warm; high-end but casual. Vernick Fish knows the tone that makes people feel comfortable, and I walked away feeling like I didn’t just enjoy dinner; I had an experience.

We got the branzino, the fried octopus, sea bass and broiled oysters Rockefeller. The branzino had a very unique flavor with a very distinct mint flavor. Quite unique and good. The sea bass has a light flavor. Dinner came with some pre dinner bread with what taste like lemon/ lime whipped butter. The fried octopus was slightly salty. The service was top notch. Although everything was good, it was not the best tasting food that I have ever had so I would have to rate it a four. Great restaurant with nice ambiance and great customer service. Very beautiful place.

Vernick Fish was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in this city, and I’ve been dining here for over 7 years. The highlight for us was the scallop tartare on grilled sourdough, but really everything that we had was exceptional. I can’t recommend this place enough, but if you don’t like fish , it might be best to go somewhere else as the only entrée that they had that wasn’t seafood based was a grilled chicken which did look great.

Vernick Fish is the best restaurant in Philly if your'e looking for an all-around fantastic, seafood-focused dining experience. The service is impeccable and the food is amazing. Ordered the scallop crudo, fried calamari, oysters, crispy grouper, and the hasselback potato... everything was phenomenal. For dessert, the chocolate hazelnut layer cake was very yummy (if you like Ferrero Rocher chocolates, this tastes very similar). Also, as a friendly Birthday gesture, the server very kindly treated us with the meyer lemon meringue cheesecake— super smooth and delicious, and very refreshing after the meal.
I have been to many places in Philly and Vernick Fish is one that I will definitely remember. Just excellent.

The staff here was phenomenal. You always go to the four seasons for the experience. The food here was shockingly able to match the polished servers. Every bite was well balanced and delicious. The dishes just kept getting better. I’d highly recommend if you’re in the area. Make sure to book a reservation, it seems too busy to walk in most days

Amazing food and amazing experience. We can get seafood anytime in Charleston, SC, but this is right up there with it. Love the drinks, sat at the bar. Highly recommend.

*HIGHLY RECOMMEND*
This was the first of the restaurants run by Chef Vernick that I have been to and I had high expectations going in and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is definitely on the more upscale, fancier side. This is definitely a great place for a date or any special occasion. The menu is split into four sections: raw, small plates, large plates, and desserts, with a handful amount of selection. For two people we ordered one raw, two smalls, and two larges and that was perfect. All the seafood we ordered were so fresh, definitely of the highest quality. I was disappointed with their grilled black sea bass but everything else made up for it. The service was also amazing, food came out fairly fast, one after another was finished. Overall, one of the best restaurants I've been to in Philly, but be prepared to spend the money

Snapper ceviche - GET THIS! BEST ceviche I've ever had. The snapper was super fresh, very tender. And the sauce was the best part. Sour, savory, and refreshing. They make this sauce in the house and apparently it’s a very complex process, no wonder it taste that great.
Octopus Carpaccio - savory, reminds me of cured meat for charcuterie but with octopus. I loved the mini chorizo on top, gives it a good spice kick.
ramón peña sardines & sourdough - the bread was soooo soft and fluffy, and the sardines not too salty. The oil from it drips thought the bread making it taste so good with every bite
grilled black sea bass - The bass was super tender, I loved the texture and the taste. However, I was not a fan of the kimchi stew. I don't think the kimchi they used were that fermented or spicy enough and the stew not enough umami. Only dish i was disappointed in.
mushroom-crusted fluke - I love the crispy exterior and tender interior. Vernick knows how to cook their fish. It's so unique that they used mushroom to coat the fish. The sauce was also very good, sweet, savory, a bit tart.
*VERDICT*
Would definitely go back again for special occasion :)

Exceptional service and great food. The only thing that wasn’t to our taste was the five families cocktail- quite fruity for the fare. Uni spaghetti was a standout. We shared about 6 small plates and a dessert and it was perfect. Bill for 3 was around 320 with 6 drinks
