So popular and crowded. It is in an awkward location and there is no parking, so make sure you park somewhere and walk over. The street is so small and narrow. The line was long but it went kind of fast. They had a good process handling the lines. It was fast. The sub... ummmm I was not impressed AT ALL! The steak had no seasonings, the cheese was not melted, and it was just plan. The bread though was nice and soft. The sub was ok but not to my liking. The fries were good though.

You can't go wrong with a steak sandwich from Geno's. I recommend cheese steak with fried onions and don't forget the cheese whiz. Pair that with cheese fries and a soda and you'll be one happy camper. **Cash only** No inside seating however seating outside under a roof. Parking is along any roadside. Sometimes you'll see a line but for good reason. Enjoy

Every time we are in PA, we can’t go home without getting Philly steak sandwich. Geno’s is one of the well known restaurant for Philly steaks aside from its next door one. If you’re lucky, you will get a good parking spot. You can order your sandwich from the first window, for fries and soda has a separate window. They are CASH only. To make your sandwich more enjoyable, don’t forget to add the condiments, they have separate area for chili, catsup, napkins, etc.
Service is very fast.

We haven't had Pat's yet. But this sandwich was delicious. Great steak sandwich (get the whiz!). The bread was amazing. The steaks were amazing. Highly recommend. Pro Tip: bring cash as it is cash only!

YUMMY!!
It was delicious!! HOT (not spicy) JUICY (not greasy). FLAVORFUL (in every bite). The service was amazing also. They were friendly, fast and helpful. My husband said let’s get cheez whiz and I immediately said no. The guy at the counter said “ yes you really do want it and if you do t like it I’ll make you a new and it will be on me”. Needless to say it was the best cheese steak I have ever ate!

I had my sub without any cheese to really taste the quality of the meat. The bread itself is softer and a better quality than Pat's. The quality of the meat itself is much better than that of Pat's. Their sandwich was also smaller than Pat's. The onions here at Geno's were grilled and had more flavor. They should season their meat it would make a big difference. All in all I feel that Geno's sub is a better quality starting from the bread to the meat to the onions. Even their napkins were thicker and better quality. Although Geno's sub is a better quality, it was slightly smaller and less loaded. The people that work here are nicer than at Pat's. But both Pat's and Geno's do not have the best steak and cheese sub in the world. I have tasted better elsewhere. It was ok to go there and taste it because of the fame they received. But I would not say that I would crave their sandwiches and would have to drive to Philly to get their sandwiches. Definitely not worth the trip. I'm sure there are many other places that you can go and get more incredibly good cheese steak sandwich than these establishments.

All I gotta say is… it was not worth the hype. I ordered the original with cheese whiz. And the steak was very dry and there wasn’t as much meat in it as I imagined and not as flavorful. The bread was nice and soft tho. However, the lights at night was pretty!

The steak was delicious. Customer service was great. Cash only. I like my cheese steaks with Mayo, so you ask for it, and they'll give you mayo packets. Outside dining. Very long line, but it moves very fast. You order drinks and fries at the second window. That line moves very fast. Whatever you do don't order from Pat's across the street. Very rude. We dealt with the owner. OMG. Never seen anything like it.

Well known place, but felt like a tourist trap. Really cool Historic location. The steaks could have been seasoned more. Many locals referred me to places on the out skirts of the city.

Ok. I’ve been debating for years which was better Pat’s or Gino’s. Of the two. I think Gino’s is better. It’s cleaner. It’s more inviting. The staff are nicer. The meat is better, less fat in the meat. Pat’s had chopped up meat and it fell out of the sandwich and Gino’s uses slices of meat that stayed whole (not falling out). We drove 4 hours to get these sandwiches and bought both to compare them. Pat charged $1-$2 more for the same sandwiches we got from Gino’s.
