The food was delicious. The atmosphere was a vibe, service was a little slow but I'll chock it up to her having lots of tables, either way it didn't negatively effect our experience. They don't have brunch on Fridays, but its not listed on their website that I could find. The Oxtails made up for it!!

I like the decor(especially the water fountain between the bathrooms). It's very cultural rich. However, there was no one greeting us when we walked in. It felt as if it wasn't open. Then we felt rushed to eat and get out by our waitress but the owner was attentive and seated us himself.

First time here amazing food and drinks. Came with a group and the waitress who helped us was great. I always go to a new place with high expectation and i was not disappointed. Tho i was surprised with the papers plates. Either way had a great time and enjoyed the atmosphere. Loved the old music records on the wall.

Terrific atmosphere and plenty of delicious options to choose from. The queso appetizer is served in a boiling 400 degree pot, nice touch. Also, the birria tacos were excellent.

The vibe is nice but the food quality and drinks were nothing amazing especially since it’s a little pricey. The birra tacos left much to be desired but the cheese dip with shredded chicken was pretty good. The patron margaritas were cute and the sparkler was a nice touch but for $60 I’ve had better ???? I’d recommend this place for the vibe and photo ops but that’s pretty much it.

City Limits is an EXCELLENT hangout. Fun for singles. Fun for groups. Fun for families. While they have a lovely, quaint, dining room they also have an upper more "sports" type bar/restaurant area as well as an out door patio area for all the smokers. The beer is the best at CITY LIMITS. Drop by and say hello ANY TIME. But be sure to say HEY to the cooks. Those guys THROW DOWN up in there! Anything you order on the menu you will not be disappointed.

I'm down here in Dallas Texas for my dad's military burial. My step mom took me there because my dad took her there every Friday night. I'm a professional magician and she asked me if I would show some magic. I said of course I would. The owner came over and told me how much he loved my dad and my dad really liked him as well. In a short period of time they become best friends. When I showed him my first card miracle of the night, I could see in his eyes how astounded he was. He wanted to give me a tour of the restaurant. The entire place was just gorgeous. There were pictures and articles from newspapers all over the place. To make a long story short, I had the abode shrimp and crab enchiladas and they were fabulously the best I ever had. I was there enjoying myself for 3 hours.

Don’t eat here!!! Bread had mold and they were very rude about working to help me find a solution. They did not want to refund my money.

1hr wait, not really worth it. Make your reservation ahead if possible. With the long wait I expected to be blown away at least by the food, but nope, I was a bit disappointed. The place does have nice ambiance, however the music was a bit loud, you can't hear the other people in your table. I did see other reviews with this same opinion. As far as food, two people on my table didn't like the food, better tacos and better enchiladas elsewhere. I'd give them another try and other something different but not any time soon.

I was told this place had good food so while I was in Houston for my birthday celebration I decided to slide through. There was a line outside and barely any parking. VIP parking for a Friday afternoon was $40, so there's that... which I paid but thankfully I arrived before the rush came in because all I seen was mostly women dressed up in tight clothes like it was a party. I heard the music blasting from the parking lot but lo and behold it was basically an outdoor club with a DJ that was playing all the latest and greatest rap music. Fortunately I was able to sit inside and order up as most people wanted to go outside. FOOD: Delicious! Had the Bayou Best oysters, Nashville hot shrimp and the oxtails and rice. Great smoked flavor on the oxtails and rice cooked firm how I like it. Definitely would go back for the shrimp and oxtails when in H-Town but my advice is if you are going for food don't go during peak hours.
