The service from our waitress was on point. She stopped by to check on us on a consistent basis, which is what I like. There was nothing special about the chicken and waffles we received. It's a possibility they were slightly soft due to the mass of people in the restaurant during brunch hour. Also, the drinks we had were not strong at all. We had 3 drinks each and left with a level 2 buzz, out of 10.

The food was delicious. The atmosphere was a vibe, service was a little slow but I'll chock it up to her having lots of tables, either way it didn't negatively effect our experience. They don't have brunch on Fridays, but its not listed on their website that I could find. The Oxtails made up for it!!

I was told this place had good food so while I was in Houston for my birthday celebration I decided to slide through. There was a line outside and barely any parking. VIP parking for a Friday afternoon was $40, so there's that... which I paid but thankfully I arrived before the rush came in because all I seen was mostly women dressed up in tight clothes like it was a party. I heard the music blasting from the parking lot but lo and behold it was basically an outdoor club with a DJ that was playing all the latest and greatest rap music. Fortunately I was able to sit inside and order up as most people wanted to go outside. FOOD: Delicious! Had the Bayou Best oysters, Nashville hot shrimp and the oxtails and rice. Great smoked flavor on the oxtails and rice cooked firm how I like it. Definitely would go back for the shrimp and oxtails when in H-Town but my advice is if you are going for food don't go during peak hours.

We went on a Monday during the brunch/ lunch hour. The parking was a bit tight in the onsite lot but it saves a walk. The wait was about 5 mins but the hostess was really nice and friendly. Our server Ariel was great. She got our food and drinks correct and on our table very timely. Was very knowledgeable of the menu items and kept a smile and positive vibe as undecided as we were. The food was really good and prices weren't bad. Didn't like the fact gratuity is automatically added in the bill but our server was great so we didn't detest. We'll definitely be returning.

DJ was the Best! Food was delish! Staff was nice! Security/police on point! The wait was long 1.5hrs, went on a Sunday around 4p. Must go when in Houston, A Vibe!! Got kicked out at 7p though for next events I guess.

We came to Kamp Houston on a weekday unaware that brunch was only served on weekends which was fine we decided to sit and chat. Our server was super nice and attentive when we needed her. We will most definitely return with the girls.

Good place to hang out on a Sunday. Lots of outdoor space. Food was pretty good. Only down side is the parking. The lot is super small and pricey
$20 for valet or $40 to self park.

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times, always during the night on the weekends which is a great time. This is my first time coming for the happy hour. I came on a Wednesday. It was a cute vibe. Music hookah and happy hour specials. On Wednesday they have $1 oysters and $5 henny drinks. The oysters were decent. But at such a great price there’s not much to say. They also have other happy hour specials through out the week.

Parking is $40. After asking 3 different waitresses and waiting for an hour and a half I finally went to the bar to put in my drink and food order. Was also charged a 20% gratuity for not having a waitress. When a waitress finally arrived it was only to see if we had paid for our meal which I had to show a receipt for. Thank goodness I took a picture of it because the bartender never gave me one to keep. My food was great! Literally ate every grain of rice on my plate! Food and drinks are definitely overpriced compared to the lack of service. And we had a pregnant woman with us which made it harder to just sit and wait for someone to come to us as we’re seeing others being served after being seated after us. If I come back it will only be to order to go.

Arrived around 10:15 pm on a Friday night, there were no tall tables available bc they were all taken. Take that as a tip to get there early , or else you’ll be seated with a $150 minimum spending requirement. Fries and fried seafood platter was good. String beans were good. My friend enjoyed her salmon. For my drink I ordered a blue sapphire, it was not strong at all…tasty but I couldn’t taste the alcohol lol. Nashville shrimp was good but the sauce on them definitely has some kick to it ????. Collards were ok, like a step above glory’s canned greens. Music was great , vibe was great ! I’d definitely return !!! Nice restaurant turn up location!!!
