This was the first time at Eugene's Gulf Coast Cuisine. Come early as parking is hard to find. However they do offer valet. I don't know the price. As we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome from the hostess. We did have reservations and strongly recommend making reservations beforehand. The deco was really nice and very open. The staff was kind and hospitable. The food was amazing, it's a restaurant I would definitely come time and time again to try different things on their menu.

You will thank yourself for coming here..I love this restaurant!!! If you ever feel like you want to treat yourself, please come here. Baked oysters were perfection - meat was tender as could be, cooked exactly to temp - still soft & delicious 2 days later. Bake potatoes are sooo stacked, you will never feel cheated ordering the loaded baked. Literally have not had such a good baked potato since the 90s - we need more restaurants like this!! Thank you!!

Eugene's is a classic environment. Their services is good it was very quite on a Saturday evening. Their oysters were really good and fresh. We tried the crab cakes shrimp and grits and stuffed shrimp. The crab cakes are OK, nothing fancy. The shrimp and grits were different not my favorite but one of the others in our group loved it. The stuffed shrimp is amazing. It is a little pricey for the serving size but you pay for the ambiance. Over all I'll definitely be returning oh there is also a Saturday happy hour. Eugene's is good.

I was not happy at all with my choice of the BBQ shrimp. It wasn’t anything like I expected.
I Spent $17plus dollars on the BBQ Shrimp and got shrimp in a bowl of watered down liquid. Taste was Blah! I don’t care if it is take out! it didn’t cost any less than eating inside. It should still LOOK and TASTE worth eating.
I’ve had BBQ shrimp dozens of time and although some better than others. This was by far, FAR not one of the better BBQ shrimp.

First time and will not be the last. Visited for a business meeting and had the perfect waiter, Martin, to take care of us. Lots had to be discussed and he chimed in only when necessary. Thank you for that. I had the Salmon Bianca and was not disappointed. It seems that everyone enjoyed theirs selections. Like I said, I will be back. ????????

High end place that requests proper attire to enter. Parking is very limited and reserved for the vallet but the nearby neighborhood offers street parking if you don't mind walking a block or two. There wasn't much of a crowd during lunch on a Friday, so we got seated right away.
The oysters are great, we had the plain and the oysters johnny we're unique and delicious. The salmon bianca was ok but the sauce was a little too salty. The onion rings had a good hickory smoke flavor to it. Customer service was great.

We came for an anniversary dinner, and it was PERFECT. Service was wonderful and knowledgeable! The back dining room was ideal for a special date night. We can’t wait to dine in the oyster bar on our next visit. Highly recommend the pecan crusted snapper!

I will not go back. 3 of us went yesterday. All of us got SICK- Diarrhea, throwing up. I had the lunch snapper, my colleague had shrimp pasta. And 1dz raw oysters, this was around 12noon on 4/22/22. Seafood was spoiled. Also messed up our orders. Waiter was terrible!!! One of my colleague did not go to work. I DONT recommend this place!! If you go there be close to the Restroom!!!!

Restaurant itself is really nice and well decorated. Valet is convenient and the umbrellas are a nice touch. Food was delicious but took a star off because scallops were burnt and it needs more bathroom stalls.

Coworkers took me out for a celebratory lunch but I am not a seafood person. I got the 8oz filet with okra and fries and it was incredible. We also had a bottle of Girard Cabernet and some old fashioneds. Everything was amazing.

Amazing service. Attentive, thoughtful, and helpful. Food is good. Oysters are fresh. Tried the daily special soft shelled crab. The sides are well made as well. Nice the ambiance as well. A neighbourhood gem.

This is a hidden gem. I went here for restaurant week, which was an amazing experience. The restaurant is in a secluded part of Montrose/River Oaks. And the service was absolutely impeccable. All of the food was extraordinary and my only regret is I didn’t get to try more items. This food is fresh and tasty, and the dessert was scrumptious. Definitely recommend.
