Rates excellent, wait time 14 min or less, please try this place. Made in Texas.
Went back March 2022, new owner and he has really made a big difference in cooking and serving his fish and shrimp orders. You really get your money's worth. It's a neighborhood place and if one meal doesn't fill you up, get one to go...I Do ! Thanks to owner and staff.

I am so happy to have stumbled upon this spot! The business owners are so friendly. It is always a pleasure to see their smiling faces. They make really delicious fried seafood. Always fresh and fair priced. What more could you want! Highly, highly recommend!

My boyfriend decided to take me out for lunch today and this place has far exceeded my expectations. I am not really a fried food person unless it is lightly breaded. Well this place has fresh fish and shrimp, lightly (not too light) breaded, not overly seasoned and comes with not too crispy French fries. Perfect food for a picnic!

The prices are amazing but I don’t like the food I tried. Also, the service was great and the cashier was very polite. However, I dined in and had fish, shrimp, fries, and an egg roll. They don’t specify what kind of fish it is. The fish is battered with some kind of fish fry, no cornmeal. Just flour and some other things. The fries were decent but unseasoned. The egg roll was flavorful but extremely greasy. The shrimp was fried in flour as well. I actually waited about 20 minutes for the food to cook and they left off my shrimp. I then waited another 10 minutes for it. It was fresh and decent for the price. I just don’t think it tasted that great.

So todays lunch was seafood. I wanted to try this spot that my brother told me about.
It's a small shop that sells fried seafood and they also sell fish and shrimp to take home to fry or cook on your own. I was greeted as I walked in the door. I ordered 1 catfish and 12 shrimp. There was no combo for it so I ordered the dozen shrimp combo and added a piece of catfish. It comes with two sides, I got fries and an egg roll. What I did like was the holes they put in the to-go box so that the steam would not make my food soggy on the way home. First bite into the catfish I noticed that it was not catfish, I believe it was swai catfish (a type of catfish) and I don't care for for swai at all. The food was fried to perfection especially the shrimp. The crunch was like crispy fried chicken. The batter was seasoned as well. The shrimp was so good. When I have a taste for some good ol' fried fish I will be going here and it was not expensive at all.
If you want good fried shrimp go here. If you don't mind eating swai catfish then you may like beachside it was definitely seasoned well and fried good.

Fountain View Seafood Market has got "seafood going on"! I've been many times. I normally get the #16 (3 fish, 12 shrimp) with 2 choices of French fries, slaw, or egg rolls. I like all the sides and normally have a hard time choosing.
It's mostly pick up or delivery and some eat there while all in their own zone surfing their cell phones so don't expect conversation. I don't think they have a bathroom so pee before you go. The ladies are friendly but don't expect too much conversation from them either. The kitchen and display areas are spotless despite being an older place and a lot of effort is spent to maintain a fish place. No greasy or fishy smell when you walk in.
I don't like fried food, I don't like fried food! So what? There are other things to get so get over it.

Very very fresh seafood!
Excellent shrimp.
They do not have that much seating inside but if you are lucky you can find a spot.
Pricing is very reasonable.
They also do sell fish, shrimp, crab and etc for you to purchase to cook at home.

Best fried shrimp I have had in Houston, light and not greasy with the shrimp flavor on full display. The egg roll was great as well. Will be back for more.

We ordered fried catfish with fries and cole slaw and enjoyed every bit of it ( cole slaw was tasteless to be honest, but the rest of the stuff was PERFECT). The fish was perfectly seasoned and nothing was greasy at all. You can also get unlimited tartar sauce which makes the food even more deliciouse. All the staff members were super friendly. I'll try their shrimp next time as the shrimps looked super fresh and tasty.

Location is small and parking is limited. The fish is good and shrimp size is nice for the price. The bredding used on the fish and shrimp is very good, not greasy or heavy. When you order your combo make sure you let them know what sides you want otherwise you will automatically get French fries and coleslaw. Most combination plates come with a drink you also have to make sure you get it from the fridge next to the counter because they will not tell you to. They also have a fish counter where you can pick from to buy and take home if desired. During lent this is a super busy place so I don't recommend coming at this time if you don't like waiting in small places not to mention the parking issue.

I will forever believe in the “hole in the wall”! This place is at the top of those places! U almost wish they was multiple locations! But why fix it if it ain’t broke! GREATTTTT food.. simple and done right!! Must have!
