This is my first experience at a Smashburger and while the taste of the food is great, I’m disappointed that my large Smash fries were barely half-filled. I’ve been looking for a great burger spot close to home and was hoping Smashburger was it. I think this was just an oversight, however if this is what I can expect in future orders I think I’ll have to keep looking.
Update: Smashburger was kind enough to remake my order when I revisited at no extra cost to me. I was met with very kind service, the food was delicious, and the fries were filled. I will definitely be back!

This was hands down one of the worst brisket burgers I've ever had. The brisket was chewy and hard with not much flavor at all. The burger was super hot as well... so hot to where it was hard to taste the barbecue sauce . The only saving grace was the the texture of the double patty meat itself. The Pattie's had a decent amount of flavor and a nice soft crumbly texture to them. I think if I ordered another burger (without the brisket) it would be more like a 3/5. But ye I wouldn't recommend this restaurant tbh. Houston has a lot of other better burger places like shake shack.

Smash is our place as both my husband and I have food alerts ⚠️ and at Smash it allows us to customize our eating there. We usually on a weekly basis dine at a different location and was in the vicinity and was not disappointed but enjoyed it as well. The staff was friendly and dining room welcoming and food quality is what we've come to appreciate and enjoy ????

Now I now why this franchise is clsoing stores. There was nobody in the cashier to take our order. We waited for 5 minutes. The manager was in the kitchen despite seeing us waiting. Never said a word to us.
The burger had cold bread and the chesse was not melted.
Do yourself a favor and go to a better burger place.

My 11 year old got violently ill after eating here. I had a bad feeling as soon as we walked in and we should have walked right back out. Service was horrible. Restaurant was dirty. My burger was red inside and I didn’t eat finish eating it, My daughter had a kid’s chicken tender meal & a shake. We believe it was the shake that made her sick. She said it tasted funny, but of course that was after she drank it. Within a few hours she was vomiting, etc. Completely miserable. The worst food poisoning. DON’T EAT HERE. This happened a few months ago and I’m just getting to reviewing this location. Hopefully they have cleaned it up for the safety of their customers. We will never go back and I would tell people to stay away.

Came by to the Yale location today 02/23/22 for the 1st time and it was an excellent experience. First off it was very clean inside and everything was in order. The service from the young lady at the register was excellent and the ordering was very easy but I had a difficult time tryin to chose from their delicious menu. I got the dbl bacon brisket cheese burger regular fries and smash tots and I must say it was made to perfection and it was a home run in my tummy.
I highly recommend this location for their great service friendly staff and delicious food that is well made.

I ordered the grilled chicken Baja with sweet potato fries, it took 45 min to have it ready, when I got home fries were drenched in oil and overcooked, the sandwich was a beef patty instead of grilled chicken. I called 4 times to speak with someone and no one picked up.
The place only had 2 tables with people and one other person waiting on a to go order. Since I was at the front waiting for such a long time, it gave me time observe the cleanliness and the interaction of the staff. Behind the counter, no mask, no hair nets, messy hair, they don’t speak nicely with each other. The place is dirty and even one of the customers didn’t care enough to place his dirty napkin in the trash or tray. He sneezed, wrinkled the napkins and threw it to the side on the booth in the table next to him.
Will not be returning and would NOT recommend the location.
I would encourage you to clean the restaurant and let the customers know that it would be 40 min to get a sandwich, giving the customer the option to wait or leave.

I ordered the Spicy Baja with Guac burger with Smashtots. First time ordering that burger. It was pretty good. They are very light could have had another one. Used up my fry reward. Good place not very busy that night.

This was my first time to this location and the smash burger itself was good I will give it that. The only issues I had was the smash fries I received were drenched in olive oil and the soda machine coke, Dr. Pepper and orange soda were all sweet and warm so I had to switch to the bottle soda. The facility was clean and the staff were nice and again the burger was good. I wouldn't mind visiting another smash burger location later in the future.
