I came here for a pre-birthday early dinner with my wife. We came around 3pm and it wasn't too bad and we got seated soon. The waitress was nice and attentive. The food was good. We got potato cheese wedges as an appetizer. Our main courses were good. My only grip is that I asked for medium well and I got medium instead. I didn't want to send it back cuz we already had waited a Lil while so I just ate it. Other than that the whole experience was good.

This location was the very first Texas Roadhouse that we frequented back in 1990s. We're sure to never go there again, and here's why. The first waiter brought us someone else's order so we sent it back. The 2nd waiter brought out our order incomplete, so one of us ate after everyone else in the party of 5 had finished. To top it off, the late order came with a very big bug in the Broccoli (see actual pic attached).
We talked to a manager who took the bugged Broccoli and disappeared. After about 15 minutes of waiting forbthe check, our server then reappeared quite casually like everything is normal, so we asked for the check.
No apologies about the service or the bugs in the food, as if it's a daily occurrence at this restaurant. What happened to excellent customer service?! What happened to human decency and common sense?! Where did the manager disappear to?!

We ordered Blooming Onion, Bone in Ribeye 20, Half slack of Pork Rib, Shrimp, And Chicken Fried Chicken. I have to say all portions seems to have shrunk since my last visit. Blooming Onion was good as always. Pork Rib, Shrimp, and Chicken Fried Chicken are all okay.
Most disappointment is the Ribeye, because I was really looking forward to this one. I always had good experience with the steaks here, but this time is not so much. The edge of the steak is really thin. I have never seen a Ribeye to be that thin or in that shape before. It is definitely missing some meat there.
I also want to to mention their Mac and Cheese, please do yourself a favor and DO NOT order it. There is a reason it is not on the sides menu. It is the most disgusting Mac and Cheese I have ever had. It looks like it’s made from the fake Mac and Cheese package from Walmart, and the taste is dry and bland.
If these are the norms here now, I would not be coming back.

Update: Manager Cld wanting us to try it again- Perhaps this place is NOT for me.. The smell of Sewer was not present on 5/26 at 5:30, we sat past the bar, right on the other side of the bar booths. That booth was for the size of regular people, or a 10 yr old.. Lol. Tight fit for dinner! EXTREMELY TIGHT... Not sure why the hostess would sit two larger individuals, in this two-seater booth that was cramped! I wanted to say something, however he doesn't like me to bring attention to some things.
We took advantage of the check in via phone, before leaving the house... GREAT experience with this perk (Great thinking Dave).
Bad Margarita-After the second one, I switched to ice tea. Bartender and Black Russian for Dave did not even fill a short glass.
We tried the jalapeno stuffed cheese balls. Not sure if the greasiness was from the cheese itself, or from the fryer since we've never had them before. They always have great salads, David had the Caesar, it was gone before I took a picture of it. Dave loved his steak smothered (onions/mushrooms) I'm still in search for a good chicken fried steak, in town. Nice tender steak, not too much batter. The cream gravy is always too salty for me. This time I ordered extra cream gravy, as well as some brown gravy.. I was pleasantly surprised with the brown gravy, perhaps I should have gotten this to begin with, if I go back, definitely I'll be having my chicken fried steak with brown gravy and I've never eaten it that way. We have learned to ask for regular butter instead of their signature butter because of the sweetness, we felt something was still sweet on this day, but never before while using regular butter.
Chris G. gave us great service.. The row we sat on leads right into the kitchen, this was a very busy section.. Very crowded, high traffic area on this night! Last day of school and they don't have enough seating for them to sit together, 4 people sitting in their booth, with 1 or 2 standing in the isle conversing in such a small area. They apparently were spread out through at least two sections.
Again, Chris was a great waiter.
Update Above - Sat at the bar while waiting for a seat, the horrible smell coming from the bar area is of sewer. We mentioned the smell, that it smells like garbage, the bartender let us know that it was a sewer backup and they were trying to get somebody to it. This is not our first time to smell that at this restaurants. It sounds like it's an ongoing issue that needs to be rectified as soon as possible. Perhaps someone needs to call the County on this recurring issue.

You gotta get there early or it's gonna be packed, over the years this place has gotten more popular, usually a wait time for a party of four or more. it's not a bad Texas style steak house in Houston, the salads always fresh and crispy, never had an issue with the steaks either, cut and cook they're good quality and they know good and well how to cook it to your liking. I always look forward to cracking some peanuts when I go. It's usually a quick eat for one or two people at the bar.

It was a pleasant experience, the food was beyond my expectations. The BBQ chicken and steak combo was superb but what really caught my attention was the cinnamon butter.
Shout out to Christina. She showed great hospitality while training a newer crew member.

Not a fan. “Texas” should be removed from their name. I might be picky. I am picky, but if you think rare [raw] is medium rare, you’re just not at a level of serving steak professionally. You can tell they have issues by how many times they try to confirm you really want medium rare. Atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. They do earn the Texas name in that sense.
