Great seafood, drinks and service. Everything is fresh and tasty. The chicken fried lobster was phenomenal. Highly recommended.

The food was great. I personally love the Guava Daiquiri. My friends and I were a group of 7. We were there to try out the Houston Restaurant Week. There was nothing to complain until the server told us: “See you all at Houston Restaurant Week NEXT YEAR.” He underestimated us by these words. We were there to support the Houston Food Bank and had a chance to try out the new restaurant that we had never tried. However, no matter what the purpose was, we paid and even tipped him a lot. And then he said those to us! How rude he was. I can’t believe the luxurious restaurant like The Oceanaire is hiring this type of bad server! We will never come back!

Came here for my cousins birthday and we overall were impressed. We put in a reservation and they printed a happy birthday note on our menus. The food and drinks were delicious and the server was great at making recommendations and helping with our food allergies. This place is very nice so I suggest wearing something a little more formal and it would be wonderful for an anniversary, or trying to impress someone special. Also even though it is a seafood restaurant they do have meatless and other meat options.

This restaurant was absolutely worth the money. We got grilled oysters rock, shellfish mixed grill, a side of lobster Mac and cheese, and the crème brûlée. Everything went together, we got to try a variety of things, and it was all delicious. The restaurant was high class, the servers were very prompt and kind, filling up waters and checking in when needed. When we needed help finding where we parked, they were more than happy to help with that as well.
We’re from out of town and had no clue what the portion sizes were, or what to order. Our server was super helpful with suggestions based on what we wanted to try, I wish I could remember her name. She had light brown curly hair. My one and only complaint I can think of is that the portion sizes could have been a touch bigger, but honestly we were full and took leftovers home. I really enjoyed this place!!!

Great food and the best service I've ever had. Our server's name has escaped me, but he was from Moscow. Cool Guy!

The Oceanaire Seafood Room is one of the hottest high end restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. I did not wait too long to be served, which was under 10 minutes. The table was always cleaned up and all dishes taken away. Yay to no messy tables! With quick and easy online reservations, you won’t be disappointed. Arriving with more than a party of 4? I’ve seen a party of 9 and some children arrive and everything was at the ready- even the high chair for the little ones.
The only downside is the restroom. There is no nappy changing in the restrooms so there can be a struggle and some improvising when it comes to changing the nappies in the restroom. However, 10/10 would recommend!

The food was fairly top notch. A lot of butter but that’s not a bad thing. The service was absolutely perfect. Very fast, friendly, and accommodating. Very pricey restaurant but you get what you pay for!!!

The service is impeccable. Attentive servers seat you promptly, ask exact temperature you wish your fish cooked at, and the chef delivered with precision. The ambiance is cozy.
As others review have stated, the quality and quantity are not par with the price. The salmon was cooked to succulent medium rare but that was hardly 4 or 5 oz. The noodle was so greasy it was no different than a take out lo mein. I was hoping there's vegetable serving with it but that wasn't the case.
It's a great place for group dining and to impress. Not so much for gourmet seafood enjoyment. The ROI makes me hesitant to go back and try another.

Let me start with the positive things. Our waiter Andre was unremarkable! Very attentive and thoughtful. Beautiful atmosphere and social distancing was great! Presentation of the food was a plus.
Now the negatives... We had reservations for Christmas day at 1. Our order was placed about 10 mins after we arrived. Our food took over an hour to come to the table. My sister had a Caesar salad and it still took over an hour for that to come out. Next the lobster rice was a best a 1. Rice was under cooked and the lobster was over cooked in every dish. It was like chewing a rubber band! The asparagus under my lobster was burnt and my shrimp were not cleaned. Andre attempted to get the manager, Stephanie, to come to our table and we were completely ignored. Needles to say we will never go back or recommend this place to anyone.

The service throughout the night was great and we definitely didn't have any issues on that front. For starters, we enjoyed the various east coast oysters and Spicy Tempura Laughing Bird Shrimp, but the Buttermilk Fried Calamari was pretty dry and on the forgettable end of options. For main courses, the best options were definitely the Chicken Fried Lobster and Ahi Tuna (would definitely recommend both dishes). The filet I ordered was overcooked and lacked enough salt/pepper to really fit the rest of the dinner. The Mahi Mahi fit somewhere in the middle as it didn't disappoint, but also didn't leave us wanting more. Overall, it was a solid dinner, but not necessarily one that I'll be racing back to repeat.
